Heh anyone else notice (or even have paid attention to) the name brands that are found without anime... and re-named most likely to avoid legal conflict? Here's where you can post your findings^^

The ones I've found (more I know, but the ones I remember, that is):

WacDonalds (McDonalds) - Inuyasha

Sabway (Subway) - Rayearth OVA

Suny (Sony) - Digimon Adventure... and some other anime that I can't remember what :/)

??? (Titanic movie poster) - Onegai Teacher... I just don't remember what it was changed to

... and that's all I can remember at the moment, but I'm sure you get what I mean and have probably noticed some on your own^^

In the original Digimon, Izzy had a laptop with a picture of a pineapple on it. The computer looked strangely like an Apple...

Mc. Donalds is hands down the most overused reference in anime. I don't really know why, but there have been at least seven shows I've seen with the different variations of the arches.

"Haagan daz" was mentioned in Magic Knight Rayearth, pictured with it the actual ice cream carton (though I don't remember if it was altered or not).

"Mimdows XP" was shown on a computer in the World of Narue, with the similar login screen of the actual Windows OS.

In Gatekeepers 21, the bakary (I'm not sure if I am spelling this right) "Athentos" is mentioned since one of the characters works there.

You mean you've never heard of a Pineapple computer? My, my my...where have you been, hiding under a rock? Seriously, here's the picture of the knockoff computer...

The reverse can be found in Ang Lee's movie "Eat, Drink, Man, Woman"...if you look in the youngest daughter's room, after the kitchen scene, you'll see a "My Neighbor Totoro" poster hanging above her bed. I'll get a screen cap from my DVD and post it.

Oh, I forgot to mention, in the Digimon movie, Izzy's computer ran a japanese version of Windows 98...it crashed just like the real version!

There are alot of name bands and names from tv, movies or in real life that show up in Cowboy Bebop.

A poster of Bruce Lee can be seen in front of the doctor's office in "The Real Folk Blues".

The "Cowboy Bebop" commercial break image for episode 22, "Cowboy Funk", is designed to resemble the logo from the movie Flash Gordon the 1980 flim.

In Session #10, Ganymede Elegy, the bounty head that is turned in at the beginning of the episode is named Baker Ponchirello, after the two motorcycle officers in CHiPs.

In Episode 19, "Wild Horses", the crew is hunting a trio of pirates named George, Harman, and Ruth. George Herman Ruth is the real name of Babe Ruth

In Session 15: My Funny Valentine, you can briefly see Lupin III's yellow car pass by.

In Session 19: Wild Horses, the man who owned and fixes Swordfish II, Spike's spaceship, is named Doohan. This is a reference to James Doohan, who played "Scotty" on the original "Star Trek" (1966) TV series.
The capsule in which Faye was cryogenically preserved has the code NCC-1701-B written on it, an reference to Star Trek and the ship Enterprise.
In Gundam Wing

In episode 8, "The Treize Assassination", when Heero is disarming the bombs, the panel he is accessing says "Intel Outside".

Several references to the Universal Century were hidden in Gundam Wing as "Easter eggs". In one scene, Wing's monitor reads "Charging M-Particles" (a reference to the mega-particles that make up the beam rifle blasts in the Universal Century). Later, when Quatre looks over Sandrock's blueprints, the Gundam is said to possess a Movable Flame (sic), Gundarium Theta, and ALICE Mk-II (a reference to the photonovel Gundam Sentinel).

In Gundam 0080

The shooting game in Al's room uses various sound effects from the Nintendo video game _Super Mario Bros. 3

At one point Heero's laptop also has the "readme" file from Adobe Photoshop on its screen.

I love that movie! So glad I'm not the only one who's heard of it. I'll have to keep an eye out for that next time.

In Episode 26 of FullMetal Alchemist you can see a box of junkfood with photo-over layed bags Snyder Pretzels (Big in PA...not sure about elsewhere) and some kind of Vanilla Almond Cereal that might also be from Hanover Foods.

In "Oh my Goddess" They have like various namebands. One I recall was "Country 13" Which is a spoof of "Centry 21". There is also "Nacdonalds"

In the One Piece manga, when Chopper begins his "Scope" move, Luffy freaks out and thinks Chopper is going to "shoot a beam like Ultraman."

Here's the picture I'm talking about--the poster is on the wall "Tonari no Totoro", and there's a Totoro plushie right above the bed (Both circled yellow)
