I'm sure most of you have seen the Laws of Anime. I think some new ones should be added. Here's one:
The Law of Lyrical Nonsense: Few anime theme songs have lyrics that actually make sense.

by Raiden no Kishi
Actually, that applies to most music from Japan. I blame translation and cultural differences, m'self.

Have you listened to many american songs from the 60s?
How about theme songs from TV shows from the 80s? Can you imaging how this would translate into japanese:
Believe it or not, I'm walking on air. I never thought I could be so free. Flying away on a wing and a prayer: Who could it be? Believe it or not, it's just me.How could that be received any better? I'll grant you it's not "Sora Mimicaki" but still....

The law of conservation of voice acting: the main characters who have the most lines have the worst dub voices. The main characters with the least lines have better voices.

Couple of Laws here:
1. Law of "No Die" You can get blown to pieces, chopped apart, sliced a thousand times and you shall not die (Bleach, Naruto, Gundam SEED, etc).
2. Law of "Bitter End" In the Coast Guard, when we handled line (that's rope for you land lubbers) the very end of it was called a "Bitter End" It seems that most all anime is like rope, it's just cut off to a bitter end. Not wrapped up or anything, just stopped.

Law of Parental Mortality: Every leading anime character is an orphan or only has one living parent. Or, said character has only one parent we know of, who is dead.
Wolverine's Law: Amnesia or repressed memories serves as a wonderful plot device.

Law of Secondary females: All secondart females must fall into one of 2 catigorys eather incredably cute(Chobits and Last Exile) and nieve or Hot and hot tempered(Love Hina and Cowboy Bebop).

Actually, that's the Law of Inherent Combustibility.
The Law of Spontaneous Combustion is that stuff blows up at completely random times.

The Hero(ine)Will Turn Evil Half Way Through The Series And Their Best Friend Will Have To Work Hard To Redeem Them Law
This applies to shows like Silent Mobius and Fusihi Yugi where you know that sooner or later one of the good guys(usually female for some odd reason)is going to end up turning to the Dark Side for at least the next 4 episodes or even longer. And they're always more interesting when they do turn Evil, although when they come back to the Light they always seem to have some sort of emotional breakdown.
