That's correct. In one episode, we see a starship called the Yamato, after the ship in Star Blazers.
Okay, I need to give an easier question. Let's try this one.
In Sailor Moon, what is the name of Sailor Venus's cat?

No offense meant, but I beg to differ. I think it is much more likely that the Star Trek writers took the Yamato name from the same place they took the name Enterprise (and the same place the Star Blazers writers took the name), World War II. The Yamato was the flagship of Admiral Yamamoto in World War II and one of the two largest battleships ever built, so it is quite prominent in naval history. There may be other anime references in the show, but this is likely not one of them.

Hmm, trivia. In Cowboy Bebop Jet Black has a dream of which famous jazz musician, causing him to go gambling?
