Naoki Urasawa's Monster. The best art from any anime I have ever seen. The plot is like no other, and the character development is superb. It also has the greatest villain ever. I believe he surpasses Darth Vader or Hannibal or something.

1) First off, welcome to the forums. If you're new, you can put up a thread in the Introduction Forum.
2) Yes, this has been done a thousand times before.
3) Don't double post. The "Edit" button is there for a reason.
As for favorite, I go with One Piece (the original, not the dub). It's simply the greatest Shonen manga of all time. 'Nuff said.

Even though Inuyasha is one of my top 10 animes and Kagome is on my top 10 list of favorite all time female characters it might shock and surprise people to learn that my # 1 favorite anime and female character are:Silent Mobius and Yuki Saiko.
This is because it was the first anime that I watched and hooked on knowing it was an anime.THough I had seen Digimon prior to that I hadn't known that Digimon was anime or what for that matter anime was until I saw Silent Mobius on Anime Unleashed. To be frank it was the anime that got me into anime.

Humph, so you are admitting you are cheating on Kagome with Yuki. I challenge you to a duel at the Inuyasha RPG thread!

My favorite would have to be Now and Then, Here and There, and my favorite character is Shu (my avatar) from the same show. It's a short 13 episodes but packed with so much emotion that it can really leave a mark on you. It's also one of the most pro-life shows that I've ever seen. It also began my obsession with anime director Akitaro Daichi.

Favorite anime? Ever? Rurouni Kenshin. No contest.
Favorite character? Hmm. Well, if we were choosing from video games and anime, I'd most definitely have to go with Kid, from Chrono Cross. She is absolutely the coolest character ever, I've thought that since I was like...12 years old. XD But if we're doing just anime, I'll probably go with either Himura Kenshin from Rurouni Kenshin or Kamio Haruko from Air. I absolutely LOVE that series, and I love the character that Haruko becomes at the end...Such a lovely series!

It's actually hard for me to pick a favorite anime since I'm more of a manga reader, but I'll go with Matantei Loki Ragnarok, the series that began my absolute love for mangaka Sakura Kinoshita. ^_^ The characters are really well designed and loveable, and I enjoy how the series manages to not take itself seriously and still has an underlying depth to it.
My favorite anime character would be Ichinomiya Kantarou from Tactics; he has a dual personality that stems from having to "learn to cope", and I've always found characters like that really interesting. ^_^ He's the sort of guy I can relate well to, and that makes him a character that I really hold dear.

A three way tie between BoBoBo-Bo-BoBoBo, Naruto, and Full Metal Alchemist.
Because Bobobo makes me laugh nonstop, Naruto has an interestin plot regardless of they sit and one room and talk for a WHOLE EPISODE! And FMA has a sick plot (though the manga is better because the plot is much better handled and the manga has Ling) plus the episodes are pretty fast-paced for an action anime.
That`s good, BTW.

Oh wow, I love Slayer and Now and Then, Here and Now (did I get that right). Yes, that one had me feeling so bad for what happend to Sara. I missed that episode when "that" happend to her, but when I did see it it made me gasp. Nobody deserves that to happen to then.
Slayers, I love slayers. I should e-mail AZN Television and ask them to play it agen. I love the soundtrack ^_^

Technically I could be cheating on Kagome with Sango since Kelly Sheridan plays both Yuki on Silent Mobius and Sango on Inuyasha.I love Kelly Sheridan's voice
as I have heard her in Silent Mobius(Yuki),Inuyasha(Sango),Escaflowne(Hitomi)and
The Soultaker(Maya).

Oh, so cruel to ask... I can't pick a favorite! Though I do like Wiseman from Sailor Moon. He's coolies.

Did you know Kelly Sheriden also does the voice for Barbie in the Barbie moveis that play on Nickelodeon? Miroku does the princes's voices to. I guess voice actors really do stick together ^_^ Ah Sailor Moon, that is also one of my favorites. I had a dream once where I was a lost Sailor Scout ^_^

I have so many anime that I've enjoyed, and many that I've watched over and over.
However, what has turned out to be one of my favorite animes has even surprised me. It's not action, not violent, no superstars and no giant robots. In fact it's rather simple and laid back. Plainly put, just a slice of life anime.
The puzzling thing is that I have no idea why I like this anime so much. And I've seem a good bit of what's out there.
The anime is called Aria The Animation (not licensed, being Sub'd by Crystal Nova).
13 Episodes with a second season coming.
I'd encourage anyone who's looking for a short detour away from the "normal" anime to check it out. You can do a bulk torrent download or grab the episodes individually.

Voice acting is probably one of the most inbred industries out there.
And yes, you got Now and Then, Here and There correct. Sara is one of the most tragic characters in anime, poor girl.

I would say Great Teacher Onizuka would have to be one of my all time favorites. What I like about the series is the style. It's very comical yet has a serious aspect to it. I can also relate a lot to Eikichi Onizuka. It's a great series.

Voice acting is probably harder than normal acting because you have to learn to express yourself with just the tone of your voice, while in normal acting you learn to use your entire body. Not everyone who is an actor can be a voice actor though,it takes a special skill.
Getting back on track...after seeing the DVD of the Silent Mobius episodes
Alice In Logic Space and Lum Cheng last Sunday I reminded myself why it was I loved the series so much:
*the artwork
*the surreal imagery at times(in Alice In Logic Space Katsumi opens a train door to see a miniature Lebia looking back at her)
*Symbolism(Alice In Logic Space has various references to Alice In Wonderland and in Lum Cheng Katsumi has a prophetic dream about her possible future)
*Great Characters *koff*Yuki*koff*
*The Storyline
*Ok this last one is a bit sexiest but don't the gals of the AMP look great in those
uniforms?

Shnji Ikari and Naota Nandaba.
I guess I like them because they are just ordinary boys thrown in to circumstances
they didn't want to be thrown into
