The Last Teen Titan Episode?

PostPosted: Mon Jan 16, 2006 4:37 pm

From what I understand, the last episide of Teen Titans was shown today at 4PM on CN. According to a website about the series it said this will be the last episode of the series.
I don't know if this is CN or the WB doing. The series has run for 5 seasons with I would guess 13 episodes each season.
I know there was a thread awhile back which asked for a write in to CN to keep the series going just a little bit more but I wonder if there was any reaction to that.

The episode is called Things Change. The Titans return home and find that everything they remember has changed. Less villains and a new one that changes from one material to another , places they remember are gone and Terra is alive and goes to high school wearing a school uniform and does not remember her past life which Beast Boy tries to get her to remember.
I think this episode will be repeated Saturday night. I think because this was a holiday it was a special showing.

If you can try to video record it some how. I have done that since the series started. Also check for repeats during the week. I didn't want to give alot away about the episode too.

Teen Titans is ending?

Why do I suddenly care?

Oh yeah!

I remember now!

Terra is the only reason I watched that show... Now she's back, but she can never be a Titan. *sigh*

I was hoping so hard that they'd find an antidote and she'd be a lead character...

*sigh* oh well. Guess that was a long shot anyway.

*deep breath*

Ok, I'm happy again. ^_^ I guess it was an ok show. and I did like to watch it when nothing was on, but when people kept calling it an anime, I started to hate it...!

There there was the whole "Why is Robin there? He was with Batman at that age." thing.

It's not one of my, "Holy crap! awesome!" shows, but it was still ok. I still wish Terra would've come back though... T_T

I just checked a site on WB forums and they are talking about a Teen Titans movie which may pickup from this episode. I also heard that this is going stright to DVD instead of being aired on CN or WB.
I don't know if anyone can contact WB and request that the Titans continue for more episodes or that the Titans just be done has movies.

can someone PM me about this? I havent been watching teen titans but I did catch a bit of todays episode where beastboy is looking for Terra.

Think somebody can give me synopsis of all that has happened (including spoilers) such as who slate is and stuff. Who the "real major villan" is if there is any. And what is up with Terra. If I recall she joined the TT but left or something.

What a ripoff

Yes, we knew this was coming. Flagging ratings made it inevitable, and perhaps not without cause. At least they had a last episode, unlike Samurai Jack, which just ended.

I didn't quite understand your post, creed4. If you are asking about DVD releases, The first season and half of the second have been released on DVD and are availalbe for purchase at your finer DVD retailers.

You have answered the question. I believe his post reads:
"It's sad to hear that. Are they availible on DVD yet?"

I believe that Samurai Jack did the origin story and that was the last they ever did.
Another show that hasn't,as far as I know, have a finale is Duck Dodgers.

That may be correct. I am certain that the last few episodes weren't even in the normal plot and once they hit 52 they stopped making them. No resolution whatsoever, which was rather disappointing. It had grown on me, for a show that I was convinced was a spoof upon first watching.

That having been said, I'll point out that we're straying off topic. Please do try to keep comments limited to the ending of Teen Titans or closely related tangents.

Wait, did they ever reveal Slade`s idenity?

Me and Monkey J. Luffy`s guess was:
Bruce Wayne.
That was not a spoiler since it was a guess but still I felt spoiler brackets were appropriate.

Um, Slade is Slade. What do you mean "what was his identity?" The cartoon never referred to him as anything BUT his identity.

In the comics he was called Deathstroke the Terminator. But since that would be inappropriate for kids, they just call him by his name, Slade.

Um, no comment to the first three sentences.

I think Arnold should sue. XD

Why? Deathstroke was around for four years before the movie The Terminator came out.

Forget it.

If they are planning a Teen Titans movie, maybe Slade's ID could come up during it, also other things could be revealed in the movie. What was it that Robin kept secret that he showed to the others in the episode where it was stolen and everyone was after.
I think it was wrong to end the series without a wrap up to it all.

Thanks for the translation, UC. I can see it now. I'm usually pretty good at understanding "Bad Typing Speak" since I type enough of it myself.

Slade doesn't have a secret identity. Want to know what Slade really looks like?

http://www.titanstower.com/source/whoswho/deathstroke.html

That's it. Nothing more to him. SLADE WILSON IS NOT BRUCE WAYNE. HE HAS NOT BEEN BRUCE WAYNE NOR HAS HE EVER HAD A SECRET IDENTITY SINCE HE WAS INTRODUCED IN THE NEW TEEN TITANS COMIC BOOK SERIES IN 1980. Slade and Batman have even crossed paths against each other on occasion.

Anyways, it is rather sad to see this series go. But one never knows, it could get revived in the future as another series. (Teen Titans Unlimited, yo.)

It seems a little early for the series to die, as there was much more ground that could have been covered. I was rather elated to get to see Jericho in the series (one of my fave characters before the comic ruined his character) before it ended. A pity they never got into the fact that he's Slade's son.

While I agree with you, I think you must admit that the cartoon does have a major emphasis on who Slade is. Furthermore, he is at at least one point unmasked but we don't get to see his face. From a viewer's perspective, it could seem as though they were building up to a revelation of his identity.

Otherwise: ...Deathstroke the Terminator? I'm glad the cartoon opted to just use his alias.

The reasons I thought it was Bruce Wayne was because:

1) I didn`t know he was even in the original Teen Titan comics.

2) In the episode, "The Apprentice" when Robin serves under Slade, Slade makes comments such as "Just like old times" and he calls Robin "Old friend". Robin says "Who are you really?" on numerous occasions.

3) Also in the "Apprentice", Robin and salde fight and Robin kicks Slade`s mask off. Slade covers his face once the mask is kicked off and claims he won`t reveal his true idenity which contradicts with what kaemmerite said.

4) Batman was not shown on Teen Titans, was he? Therefore the original Slade could have been killed and Bruce Wayne could have became the next one.

First of all, I`m not saying:
This is fact and I`m right and you can`t convince me otherwise.

This is:
I`m putting together clues throughout the series and thinking hypathetically.

Obviousy, I can admit there is a high chance I am wrong but no one can really prove otherwise to me unless there is an episode on Teen Titans when Slade gets unmasked aand his true indenity is shown.

5) Why is this in the anime section? This is American-Made.
