Thank You CN, for another crappy line-up!

I watched a couple of my shows on Toonami and then 11pm rolls around.
Boondocks- A show that successfully takes innappropriate content trys to make it funny and fail misreably. It`s not even a comedy.
Yes, they successfully fail
After that, Stroker and Hoop. Same situation.
And then finally Full Metal Alchemist!!!
After that is GITS-Second Gig, but I`m too far behind to get it.
Then, Samurai Champloo on Wed. at midnight, not saturday.
There goes my second favorite anime.
Hey, who knows it may be on Saturday next week.
Does anyone else dislike CN`s "Let`s change our line up every other week to get more viewers" system.

Well actually it would be Adult Swim since they're two seperate entities on the same channel. The Boondocks whether you like it or not is their highest rated show since the premiere of Cowboy Bebop. Obviously some people are liking it. There's already a week old or so discussion on AS's lineup where I've already explained my views on the Boondocks. It has its moments but its not great in my mind overall. Stroker and Hoop is one of the worsts shows they have right now along with 12 Oz Mouse. 2nd Gig is only on like episode 6, and you can find synopses online.

Yeah, Jimbo's right. Cartoon Network's job is to get the highest ratings possible. They can't make EVERYONE happy, that's impossible, so they go for making the largest percentage of people happy. Like he said, even if you don't like it, The Boondocks is their most popular show, and so of course they're going to show it, because it gets them high ratings. If they make you upset, so what? You're in the minority. They can afford to lose you.

Tom. Be glad you have anime. Heck, be glad you have cable...

Eh, I guess.
I think those people that like the Boomdocks are those people who lieave their TV on 24/7 without shutting off just like a computer.
How can anyone enjoy a show like that? I know it`s a matter of taste but...ehh

Well, I could say the same thing about you liking Unlimited SaGa. So, there you go.

Heh, good point Kaemmerite. It`s okay at best IMO.
EDIT: I forgot to mention. Unlimited SaGa doesn`t have the N word every 20 seconds always used as an insult, just plain make fun of black people, and have little swearing 9-year-olds that never shut up. Just thought I would add that.

I must admit, the random lineup is slightly annoying. Fortunately, I don't watch Adult Swim frequently, so I only need to consider a few shows. Not a big concern for me, though I wish anime was more popular with the earlier demographic.

Consider the creators and the artist of the original comic. If he's making fun of black people, that's just standard satire, not racism. Similarly, use of such terminology is fairly realistic in some urban settings (swearing little 9-year-olds are rather less so).

personally i think they should just stick to one lineup and leave it for a yr or two...it gets too confusing when they do change it to figure out where everything is. I honestly dont like the new lineup on sat. either but i can live w/ it. But thats only b/c samarai champloo, evangelion, and inuyasha (all which are now showing during the week) are new episodes...so if thats what keeps the new eps. coming than it doesnt bother me that much

The creator of The Boondocks is black, so it isn't considered racism. The N word is used fairly frequently among some black people.
While I agree the constant lineup juggling is a tad annoying, I think calls for the lineup to stay the same for "a year or two" are a bit much. I think most of us would get bored if it stayed the same that long.
You think AS changes their schedule frequently, they've got nothing on G4's Anime Unleashed. It seems they never stuck with one show for more than two weeks at a stretch, or at least that's how it used to be. I haven't watched AU in some time.

I actually like it... I mean the only shows I despise are NGE and SandH... and hey, you get new episodes..why complain? Like Myoti says at least we have the option of complaining lol.
Another thing if you don't like the line up on the weekdays you could always go to walmart buy a 94 cent tape and recorde you episodes.
But AS is obviously doing something right with Boondocks and at least it's animesque...>.> <.<
PLUS! CB is Back! YAY!

Yes! I was so happy to see Bebop back on the schedule...I missed a couple of eps in the middle, and I want to see them! o_o

I know this is sorta off topic but, where the heck is Full Metal Alchemist!! I hav'nt seen it on the scehdule this week or the last. the only ep I've seen this week was saturday.
but yeah, AS has done another crappy line-up in my opinion. but since I've never really seen Cowboy Bebop much before (and since it has such a good reputation 'I hope that's true) I'm looking forward to seeing it.

Ugh, I must`ve missed the first episode then, huh?
I would like to see Rk or Trigun.

Rk not gonna happen, and the last time they tried Trigun Popeye at 4:30 am (my time) did just as good....

Whoa.......that`s bad.
Why not RK?

From what I understand, Kenshin never did very well in the ratings.

It did good on Toonami. XP

RK isn't AS kindof stuff for 3 reasons :
1: it doesn't infuse hip-hop into it (aka samuria champloo and boondocks)
2: it has no need to be on AS cuz it was already on Toonami and it actually can be edited to the standards of Toonami (i couldn't imagine Ed from FMA being like "who u calling short *funny voice thats not the voice acter* JERK!!)
3:It isn't controversial or gory enough (aka NGE or Samurai champloo)
ok theres a 4th: there is not enought sexuality in it to attract fan who watch AS for stroker and hoop (last time i watched that show i was bombared by really nasty jokes and some disturbing imagery)
but anyways thats just my thoughts

It has just as much blood as Champloo.

i liked RK , i would have rather seen it come back tho just cause like FMA they showed trigun over and over and over

It has just as much blood as Champloo. It has just as much blood as Champloo.
yea thats is true i was thinking more Ghost in the shell (which is not horribly graphic but still to bloody for toonami and i also 4got to put that as an example) what really makes champloo a AS show is the language and sexuality (not alot when edited but still)

I wouldn't want Kenshin back on CN. Sorry, but...they took out way too much...XD.
Walmart had the first box set for like 45 dollars...which isn't bad at all...
AS will change it's lineup in a few months or so..just deal with it until then and don't complain, at least we get anime... and I am happy with more than half of the lineup.
I say, if you don't like it, don't watch it...^-^;
and I am not trying to be rude...so sorry if I offend.
I LOVE the new Opening for GITS!!!!! *sighs*

Yes, some do. In my experience, it usually isn't used in an insulting context the way it would be when used by a person of another race as a slur, it would be used in the same way some people call each other "dude."
Being part of a group grants a person certain rights and previleges within the group. There are some things that are considered acceptable for members of a group to say to or about other members of a group that would be viewed as an insult if an "outsider" did it.
If you needed to take a shower, and a random stranger on the street came up to you and said, "Man, you stink" you'd probably be angry. If a family member said the same thing, you might be annoyed by their lack of tact, but you'd take it under advisement.
To use another example, if you and your friends were walking down the street talking about anime, and another Evil Random Stranger overheard and said, "You anime nerds are stupid dorks," you'd probably be annoyed. On the other hand, anime fans talk about themselves as a group being dorks and geeks all the time, and very rarely does anybody stand up and say, "Hey, speak for yourself, you jerk!"
That's just the way it is. But this is very off-topic.

Red Mage: Well, you brought it off topic.
No, I don`t want RK to come back on Toonami, I want them to make a less edited version on AS.

stupid thing not letting me edit my quote brackets oh well yea if RK where to come back i would hope for a less edited version on AS and for them to play Samurai X b4 they show it

I have to agree that the new lineup royally sucks. IMO anyways. I was just getting into FMA again after having missed so much. CN are idiots. *annoyed*

Well, I am ticked off mainly because of Samurai Champloo only being on wed.
FMA was only bumped up one hour. Apparently it is the thrd top rated show on AS now instead of top-rated.
