Ain`t it for a girl`s audience? Then again, the thread starter didn`t list "it`s" gender.

Is it good enough for guys to like it?

Oh, I'd definetly recommened it, regardless of gender. Sure, since it IS a shojo anime, there are SOME girly moments, but it's overall a comedy with action, drama, and intrugue thrown in. Watch it, you'll love it ;)

You haven't met Kyo, yet...or most of the characters in Fruits Basket for that matter. Just because it's girl-oriented doesn't mean there's no action in it. ;)

Lol, AMEN!!!!!

If you want action, you'd love Kyo, Hatsuharu, and Kagura. And if you like evil, Akito is one of the cruelest villians in anime of all time!!!

I KNOW! *stabs Akito!* I HATE HIM!!

Can someone PM me a link to the manga? I will take a look into it nonethless.

Is there an anime for it on CN?

Chainchump, I will give you my opinion after reading or watching it.

It looks interesting, though I have yet to read/watch it. I do like some supposedly "girly" ones, like Tokyo Mew Mew, though sometimes for... different reasons. :p

Yeah, it's really good. And, even though it is shojo, it's still not that girly. So, yeah... BUT I LOVE IT!!

So, bassically what everyone else said, lol.

Um, it's not on CN, actually, and the manga is licensed. Which means that scanlations are sort of out of the question. But trust me, it's worth purchasing.

Well, I have legally read licenced manga on the internet. It should just never be a link in anything but PM as we both know. Just make sue it`s legal. I`ll check my livbrary to see if they got a copy of Vol.1.

Could you PM me and tell me how that works? I mean, I know Tokyopop sometimes makes the first chapters of new titles available for download through their site, but if you're talking about more than that-- PM if you would.

I have Vol.1 and 2 on hold at the library they have Volumes 1-13 aparently.

I really hope I don`t look like a (you-know-what) whne i purcahse a manga with a Japanes school girl on the cover. If this turns out tobe a readable chick flick then my library card will be soiled and I will dislike all of you.

Just kidding.

I`ll PM the threadstarter my opinion.

Volume 13 said "Coming Soon" on the book.

Ok, so Kaemmerite, who is a guy, likes it. That`s a good sign....OR IS IT?!

A lot of guys really like Furuba. While it may be, strictly speaking, shoujo manga, it's also just a really good story.

It's an excellent story. I'm still waiting for the official explanation-of-Akito one, unless it's already out and I missed it.

It is good for somebody to expand their horizons. Basically what I am saying is that it's good for guys to get atleast some exposure to "girly animes"

Me, being the manly man I am [/sarcasm] quite enjoyed the series, not to mention Full Moon and Aishiteruze Baby. They give off a warm, fuzzy-feeling type of feeling within you

Yeah, me being the girly girl that I am[/notsarcastic], I enjoy reading "shounen" manga all the time. Osaka enjoys both Death Note and Rurouni Kenshin. You can't let labels prevent you from enjoying manga or anime that are good.
