it's very cool, especially if you're into a lot of urban philosophy. also very mind-boggling and cerebral-heavy and i'm warning you that it's told in non-linear sequence, so this is really gonna take a lot of work for your gray cells to understand it. XD XD but is is VERY cool. no fanservice or fillers here...just pure cerebral action.
oh, and the main lead is voiced by Asano Mayumi, which adds mucho points for me. XD XD hehe.

I liked BoogiePop a lot, really. It's got a lot of cerebral stuff to it, and it doesn't try to scare you with a lot of bloody gibs getting hacked endlessly, but rather by getting inside your head or making you see or think things that you really didn't want to see or think. I REALLY like how each episode was about a particuar person, and then they'd have a seemingly random occurence with one person. Later, that one person would be featured in another episode... so it all sort of intertwines with itself, and ends up being a series about a group of unrelated people that all reacted in unrelated ways to the same event. Confused? Try watching it :p
Due to a little bit of gore (but not much) I wouldn't recommend it for anyone under 15 though, and especially for anyone that hates loose ends (you've got to know the manga to get half the stuff the show talks about). I still enjoyed it though. ^_^

I've seen only a few episodes but everytime I only caught the end because I kept forgetting about it. It seemed interesting but once again I kept forgetting to look up more information on it so I knew what I was getting myself into. But after reading what ya'll have said I think when I get home I'll beabel to remember to finally look for more info on it and look back into it This topic has been on my mind so thankies for posting!

Yeah I ended up borrowing the first few eps from a freind. It was pretty good. It seemed like Serial Expermens Lain except a horror that had worse art. Yeah my opinion of what I've seen was that it was pretty good. Nothing special...But it wasn't bad either. It just didn't seem as mind boggling and cerebrel heavy as you guys said. It probably was to lot's of you but it just didn't click with me. But yeah if you like mind twisting anime like Lain or Evangelion this is a good choice from the "horror" genre. I'd say 15+ like the others do...

Oh yeah, cool stuff. You got to love the broken record effects and the "what the--??" feeling you get after watching. BP has good art, different from Lain but still good!
