I rented this anime from my library and I was extremely impressed! It is a great, and now one of my favorite, anime. It is called (drumroll please) GENERATOR GAWL. Has anyone else heard of it? It is really clean, funny, action packed, with a hint of romance... it's soooooooo cool! Please tell me someone else has heard of it. Pleeeeaaaaasssseeeeeeee!

I've heard of that one as well... in fact, I bought the first DVD. I do still need to watch it past the first episode, though... but it's very good! I like it!

Heh, I can recall somewhat the first episode of GG in the anime club I attended a few years ago. It didn't really catch my attention that much, but I might as well start watching a few more episodes.

The time-travelling bit is worth seeing more of it.

Actually a pretty good show! I own the whole series and have watched it all! Quite honestly, I liked the English dub more than the Japanese; both set of VAs were great, but the humor is a bit more understandable/applicable to us with the English version. It's very good, intriguing sci-fi anime for sure! Content is very good; there's some level of violence when the generators fight, but other than that just some minor language here and there. Plus the main character's English VA is Vic Mignogna who's one of my fave VAs and he's also a Christian! He was Kurz in FMP, Mamoru in RahXephon, and plays Ed Elric in FMA!

Indeed, I watched it recently. The writers for the English dub out-did themselves. The lines were hilarious, and as far as time travel stories go, they handled the inherent paradoxes decently.

I used to own Generator Gawl on VHS (before I had a DVD player). I bought it from a friend for $20, then sold it to someone else for $50. It totally worked out. Although, it was a pretty good anime. I still have the "How to Draw A Generator" (I think that's what it was called. It had specs and stuff for all the generators) fold-out thingy that came with it, though ^_^

yes, I've heard of it. But I've never heard anything about it. What's it about?

Yeah I've seen Gawl, that was a pretty good series! Too bad the character designs were a little dumb, and the last two episodes made little sense. Good action, funny story (especially the whole bit about Gawl constantly being mistaken for a stalker).... I'd give it about an 8/10

It's really cool, It's abot a few guys from the future traveling back in time to stop some event from happening. The third guy that is with them is a generator. He can transform into this machine/humanoid thing and kicks bad alien butt! I've only seen the first few episodes, but I can't wait to see the rest!
