Godannar.
Wow.
That was just insane. I watched the first episode from the Newtype USA DVD.
I think this is one of the most fanserviceiest anime I've ever seen. Aside from that, it's also really enjoyable. I won't suggest it for anyone under, hm, 18 due to the insane amount of fanservice, but for those who can stomach it, there's a ton of rockin' hot-blooded super-robot action. Really nice production values and the fact that Goh has the same English voice actor as Gai Daigoji from Nadesico only make things better.

Hmm, insane amount of fanservice = time waster (I'm not particularly attracted to cartoons), but rockin' hot-blooded super-robot action = teh win. Also, that's a pretty cool picture there.
One question though - what's it about? (other than good, healthy roboviolence)

I thought Colorful had the rep. for being the fanserviest anime ever made.

Well I normally avoid titles with lotsa fanservice, but this one really is a lot of fun, since so much of it involves old-school style (and well-animated) robot action.
ANN says: Five years ago, while battling an alien force known as the "Mimesis," Dannar pilot Go Saruwatari first met Anna Aoi. Today, on the day of their wedding, the ceremony is interrupted when the Mimesis strike again. As Go struggles in his battle against the alien threat, Anna stumbles upon a top secret robot known as the "Neo-Okusaer" and uses it as a last-resort to save her fiancee. At that moment, Dannar and Neo-Okusaer merge to become the mighty robot "Godannar."
The idea is it's supposed to sort of make fun of the old cliche`s, and it doesn't take itself very seriously. Plus Goh is really great.

Well, as long as you don't mind all the crazy fanservice. You can check ADVs site for a lengthy trailer, that should explain everything.
Still, I'd not let anyone under 18 watch it, not because it's
really bad, just because of all of the skimpy-clothes and jiggling. @_@

Another problem... there are alot of women in love with Go, and he is now married, so... There will be a lot of innuendos about well... the possibility of... you know.
I found it annoying with the Ggunner dude that kept saying "Okay!" while doing everything, though I bet that was the intent
.

Yeah, I know, but like I said.... I'd not let anyone under 18 watch it. It's not hentai or really graphic, just a LOT of innuendos.
