Beyblade (Welcome to all Beybladers)

Hey everyone, I've been looking around this site and haven't found anything on beyblade, so i decided to make this thread. Beyblading isn't for little kids only it's a cool game that can be played by all ages and it takes a lot of practice believe me. We can customize the beyblades, and make everything about the top to our liking. my bitbeast (the spirit of the beyblade) is dranzer, i am proud of it and my blade is my most prized anime related posession which i posted in that thread. if u have any comments on beyblade please reply.

LET IT RIP!!!

Sorry but i don´t really like animes that the story goes upon a game like Bayblade or Yo-Gi-Oh(or what ever it´s called)...

bey blade is pretty cool so are the characters... it's kinda wierd though.. cuz the story seems to revolve around battling with tops... like at first in yugioh i thought it was only a card game,b ut then i learned it's a li deeper than that...

Count me in. I'm a big fan too.

Yes, the story is a lot deeper than that. And Beyblade is actually more character driven than any toy anime that I've seen, AFAIK.

I've got the same on Ray's got. I just forget what the bitbeast is called...

It's quite fun, but my beyblade won a match once and I reached down to pick it up (yes, while it was still spinning) and thought for a moment that I'd lost my fingers.

I've got a question, why are Ray's eyes sometimes yellow when they're normally blue? Or are they normally yellow and sometimes blue? :?:

One thing that puzzles me always is how do they control the blades?

Officialy, they are yellow. You see, he and the White Tigers are neko-jin(cat persons), and if you notice in season 1 and G Revolution(the third season), they also have pointed ears. Although it beats my why they changed his eyes to a darker color in V-Force(season 2).

One thing that puzzles me always is how do they control the blades?

Beats me. That's one thing about toy anime that bugs me. I sometimes think that they are "psychically connected" with their tops.

Is it my imagination or does every game linked anime need at least one girl friend to act as a groupie/cheerleader?(Beyblades=Hilary;Yu-Gi-Oh=Tea/Anzu;Duel
Masters=Saiyuki and Mimi)

Wow, I think that's true

It's 'cause GIRLS ARE TAKING OVER THE WORLD! *muahaha*

By the way--Teigeki, thanks for clearing that up. ^_^ I noticed the pointed ears, too.

Well, I think it's coz the shows 1)need some girls' perspective, 2)need cheerleaders to pump the boys' ego and 3)need them to provide womanly TLC. In Hillary(Hiromi)'s case, she's there to keep the boys going and patch things up when they turn sour on each other(I like that. At least she's not useless).

And I forgot to mention that Rei and the White Tigers also have fangs.

(posted at another thread)
The North American version is HEAVILY altered, full of cuts and script changes here and there; some are understandable(like inappropriate behavior and visuals too intense for little kids, at least by N.Am. standards), but others are better off not cut and/or altered because they rendered a number of parts of the overall script senseless. What I hated the most is how they changed the first season's lovely orchestral music for crappy techno ditties and awkward rock songs(I have the CD of the said orchestral OST). Lucky our country's(the Philippines) local network got the original Japanese and I was able to catch a lot of the said alterations, but I'll leave that for another post.

But that's not my only rant. Its fandom is now mostly of yes, yaoi lovers who only want them doing lots of degrading stuff with each other. There's only ONE BB fan I know that isn't into yaoi, but she's gone . Now I'm stuck with BB haters who say the show and its fans are stupid and free-for-all-slash fans.

Sorry if I have to rant. I'm really very stressed out with those things that I said.

I forgot to mention this.....the animal avatars (Holy Beasts/Bit Beasts) that give the tops power. Particularly the four main boys' beasts that are based on the four legendary beasts of Oriental mythology. I dunno, but a born-again Christian acquaintance suggested that there could be some problems there.

Toon Disney is showing Beyblades G Revolution weeknights at 9:30 now since they
started airing the new series Battle Bdaman on Sundays at 9:30.
As far as the girls go,am I the only one who thinks Hilary is kinda like Tea,Jr.?

the only thing that disturbs me about beyblade... is that there's this GIANT arena... filled with THOUSANDS of Screaming and shouting people... watching 2 guys battle beyblades at each other...

it doesn't make sense to me...

Tea Jr.? The role seems to be so, but remember Hillary(I prefer Hiromi) has ZERO interest in the show's toys, which is a big difference.

What I meant of course like Tea Hilary's primary purpose on Beyblades
appears to be the chief cheerleader who is always rooting her friends on
when they battle.
Of course the difference is that on a couple occasions Tea has been forced to duel herself while so far Hilary hasn't picked up a beyblade as far as
I can tell,so we don't know how good she'd be as a beyblader.

The only one who can bring on a fart war AFAIK in the show is Takao/Tyson :hits_self

What's next? Uh, a fighting watergun game?

Af first I thought this show would be stupid and I didn't start watching it until just recently. It's alot better than I was willing to give it credit for. I wish I could get to see the unedited version.

Ok currently Toon Disney is rerunning the storyline where Tyson and the others are involved in the big Beyblade World Championship Tournament.
Each team is supposed to have four members, two regulars and two
substitutes. However since Kai left to join the Blitzkreig Boys that left
the PPB with just two regular players:Tyson and Daichai and one
substitute:Kenny.

mitsuki>Ooooh, maybe they don't have enough members, but then again, strange that whoever is in charge allowed it to be that way.

Doubleshadow>The uncut, original Japanese is WAY better.

Hey everybody... I like Beyblade, too. I think shows that are aimed for a younger audience are more fun, less filthy content, and for some reason I enjoy the beyblading action. (I enjoy boxing in the same way... it's uncharacteristic, since I don't follow sports or anything, but the few times I've watched boxing matches I've really enjoyed them.)

I'm glad to hear the original music is better!

I've only noticed a couple places where there must have been cuts in the US (Toon Disney) version, in what I've seen so far. It would be nice to know if they edited for brevity, like taking out character interaction. Character interaction is my favorite part. (Even though I like the battles, I think the people are the most interesting thing in any story.)

I have more comments if anyone is interested, so I'll probably post again later...

Hey, it's certainly possible. At first I decided not to watch the show for this very reason. But later, I thought, it is not really demons, it is sort of fantasy.

Maybe that is an excuse. It certainly could stand for something bad, but it doesn't seem like it does to me. (Maybe I just say that because I like the show so much?) I'd love to hear what other people think.

Glad to hear out from another BB fan

I am aware that the Bit Beast thing is just fantasy, but I am really interested on other people's opinions like yourself.

I'd like to let you hear season 1's soundtrack but I don't know of any good filehosting service as of now.
