Hi guys,

Just wondering if anyone has seen this anime before (see title)?

If so, what did you think of it? I found it funny (if somewhat silly), but at the same time found a "serious-ness" in some of its episodes, especially the one where Mitsuhashi and Itou fought against a guy from another rough high school.

Cheers.

I've never heard of it. What's the premise?

Okay, basically there are 2 guys who don't know each other (being from different high schools). They decide to switch schools when they move onto their senior high school years, and end up in the same school. Both of them have the aim of being the high school's unofficial "student boss". To this end Mitsuhashi dyes his hair all blond, Itou perms his long hair till it's all spiky.

What they didn't know is that their new school already has a gang. So they decide to team up and fight this gang; Itou using more honourable means such as direct confrontation, with Mitsuhashi using dodgy means such as modifying his schoolbag with metal plate lining and using it to hit his enemies.

Eventually they become respected by the other students for subduing their school's gang, since they are not half as bad (they just don't do their homework and skip some classes).

Later episodes has them going on excursions where they fight other gangs, etc.

For some reason that made me crack-up XD O if only I was still in school, I would SO do that to my bag!

Sounds quite interesting. Can you find it in the States? Or do you have to go fansubbed?

I've been told by a Japanese friend that it's not a very well known title, and he was surprised that I've actually seen it, since I've never been to Japan.

I picked up the dubbed version on VCDs (but legit) when I was in Hong Kong a few years ago.

I tried to find info on it from the net just then .. wasn't successful. Perhaps you could try Amazon.

Cool. Yeah I'll try and look it up some time. It sounds like one that I'd like to see if I can find it.

I couldn't find any english copies of the OVA. I did see some links to scantilations of the manga though.
