From AnimeNation: Manga Entertainment has scheduled the release of an Astro Boy Collectors Box Set for November 22nd. The 7 disc DVD collection will contain all 51 episodes of the color Astro Boy series from 1983 with selectable English and original Japanese language tracks. The DVD set will retail at $39.98.

The sole reason I never touched the recently released box set was due to the lack of the original Japanese language track. I'm looking foward to this release.

And because the American edit is only available (and there's so many reasons wrong with that).

I thought the Japanese language track was only for the first episode? Ah, nevertheless, the 80's and 60's versions are the best and as long as they are uncut, I am happy. B)

November is not going to be nice to me... There's so many games and anime coming out that month... -_-

You're getting a couple of releases confused. The 1983 Astro Boy which is coming out in November by Manga Entertainment and the 1960s Astro Boy (which I consider the REAL Astro Boy) which is being released by Right Stuf International sometime the first part of 2006. That one is the one that has the first episode in Japanese. The remainder, from what I understand, will have both subtitled and dubbed tracks.

Right Stuf International is scheduled to release the 1960s Kimba series in both subtitled and dub in November, another I plan to pick up for nostalgia's sake.
