Bandai going boxset crazy

I just read that on July 12 Bandai will be releasing cheap boxsets of Gundam 0080 $30, Gundam 0083 $50, 08th MS Team $50, Infinite Ryvius $60.00, and Silent Mobius $30.

Those are all super cheap and I recommend series like Gundam 0080, 08th MS Team, and I've heard good things about Silent Mobius and Infinite Ryvius. Gundam 0083 is...ok but not the best of the UC Gundam series it's deffinetly behind 0080, 08th MS Team, and Zeta. I'll finally be picking up 0080 when it comes out. Saw it on Overstock for $18 and ya can't beat that.

That's pretty cheap for boxsets. How many episodes are on each?

Gundam 0080 is 6 eps (but it's an OVA, so it's cool). Gundam 0083 and Gundam 08th MS Team are 13 eps each. Infinite Ryvius is 26 eps. I'm guessing Silent Mobius is 13 eps.

Gundam 0080 is a classic and a must see. ^_^ and at only $18 on overstock.com, why the heck pass it up??

I've been noticing many companies re-releasing box sets. Many of them are those plastic cases, with a plastic flipping dvd sleeves inside (depending on how many dvd's are in the series). Same dvd's as the other sets, it's only the packing that's different.

I mean, I bought the whole series of Figure 17 at Fry's for $45... It had all 6 dvd's. I mean, I would rather send $50 then $150-185 for the same collection. Sure I may not have every single dvd case, but it's cheaper and saves more space on the shelfs :)

On top of my head, other series I've seen made into the cheaper box sets are: Princess 9 ($40), Noir ($56), Crest of Stars, Banner of Stars I and II.. So many...

I will surely embace the chance... :P

Gundam 0080 I think is just the same disks repackaged. so it's a 2-disk set. :thumb:

Ah, okay. I was wondering how many disks Gundam 0080 was.

When I look it up on the info, it didn't tell me anything on the how many disk there was for it, where it did for the others.

Oh, I know this is not a box set. But they are re releasing Gundam Wing Endless Waltz on the same day as they put these box sets out. It will have 5.1 sound for it. I think that they didn't have that for old disk, did they?

Uhm, I'm not sure, but it most likely didn't have 5.1. I hope there's a little more to the re-release cause I kinda want to upgrade from my bootleg copy.

I loved 08th when it was on Cartoon Network. Some day I'm going to watch all the old school Gundam stuff.

Infinite Ryvius was cool. I wasn't exactly running to the anime store for more, but if I had the chance, I'd definitely check it out again.

No it's just one of the best sites out there for everything. And you can get Noir for under $50.

I did. I have no assurance. For those of you who have bought stuff before on Overstock.com, how soon did it arrive?
