Hmm...good question. I don't really have one, I believe that they all complement each other in some way to make the series as a whole a good series. That being said, I do have a preference towards some of the more actions and comedy eps. "Ballad" is a good ep as well, very poetic.

I'm a huge Bebop fan. My favorite episode would be that and The Real Folk Blues Parts: 1&2(ending eps.). The ending was very well done and the music is great.

Yeah those were great episodes. It was a perfect ending. I love the music in this whole series. It works perfectly with everything that happens. It sets the right mood. The first episode I saw was session 20 That got me hooked right away.

I like a ton of them but i always remember "Toys in the Attic." I love the end of that too when they are talking about the next episode, with Ed saying that everyone was dead. hehehe. :)

I like it ok, but it's a bit too episodic for my liking... Yeah, the last 2 eps really make it worthwile, though.

The Mushroom Samba. Of course, I've only seen six episodes plus the movie.

I loved the series, but I could never buckle down and pick just one favorite. Mushroom samba, toys in the attic, and ballad of the fallen angel were all great IMO.

I like almost all the episodes aside from the first episode, Asteroid Blues, and the Jupiter Jazz two-parter (which *was* a part of Spike's storyline and would have been somewhat good aside from the focus on both yaoi and het fanservice, there was too much Gren and Faye LOL)

(I know I'm going to get a ton of flames for this but. . .) I'd have to list my favorite episode as Mushroom Samba. I'm not a druggie or anything so don't get upset, but that episode was the best of the humor episodes and a complete riot. Ed and Ein chasing the bounty, Jet talking to bonsais-LOL!!!!

Why dont you like Asteroid Blues?

I don't know, I just don't like it as much as I do the other episodes. I think the series really got started per se at episode 2, "Stray Dog Strut."

Wow :o I must have missed that ep... I mean both of those eps... I thought I saw every one... Did cartoon network not show those eps? I don't remember any yaoi in CB... Unless it's that guy that Faye catches in the shower?

And, I don't remember them getting stoned either. I remember the thing living in the fridge that almost killed everyone, but what you described I don't remember at all!

CN showed Jupiter Jazz 1 and 2, although they cut out the main yaoi fan fanservice shot (the frontal view of Gren in the shower scene)

And yes, Mushroom Samba *was* aired on CN. It's a quite funny episode, one I'd recommend any fan of the series watch as long as you understand that drugs are bad for you. . .

Thanks for the WB Milly. It's great to be back with all of you.

I looked in Goof Off and didn't see it. What was the title of it?

Another thing about Bebop's influence of me. It helped to determine what type of dog I would have. I now have a Pembroke Welsh Corgi named Diina. She is expecting and should be delivering next week. We should have a whole litter of Eins running around the house before too long.

AWWWWWW! LOL, I saw a Welsh Corgi when I was walking in a park around here a few months ago. LOL, guess what anime character I thought of. ~.^

Jupiter Jazz, and pretty much all of the Spike vs. Vicious episodes were the best ones. I don't know if I'd really call the shower scene yaoi fanservice in any event. Anyways, leaving that aside Jupiter Jazz was extremely well written. And remember, this show is about people who basically live on the fringes of society, bounty hunters, criminals, the have-nots, etc.

The episodes that dealt with Faye's past were also very well done.

One question, one of the episodes (featuring Jet) mentions an old Akira Kurosawa film "Stray Dog". Anyone ever seen it? If not, you definately should.

I really liked the last episodes too. From there it's hard to choose (not remembering the episodes' names doesn't help either). I would have liked more "part one/part two" episodes. I also would have liked more fight scenes. But for comedy I really liked Cowboy Funk which made me laugh out loud and of course I liked all the Spike vs. Vicious episodes. I think they should have had more character development on Spike and Julia's part...but that's just my opinion. Except for that I really liked the whole series.

Oh yeah! Cowboy Funk was just *TOO* funny-I was laughing all the way through watching that one, LOL

That ending scene was priceless LOL.

All I can think about is that dog in "Yojimbo"

hehehehe... I love black comedy... I don't know why...

Sadly, I have not seen enough of the good live action Japanese films... IE kurosawa's stuff... I saw Yojimbo, and that's about it... Oh, and I dont' think these were kurosawa, but I saw almost all of the "Lone wolf and cub" series...

I really need to see more... I recently saw Kikujiro (recent live action Japanese movie) and it was a great movie, though a bit... I don't know, jerky maybe... no that's not the word... I liked it, but it was... Dang it... I hate not being able to say the right word... I'll edit this when I think of it... Goodnight..

we are the doggy doggy dogs... we are the doggy doggy dogs... Grrr... That song is the most annoying thing Yoko Kanno ever made... Why does THAT have to be the one that gets stuck in my head? Cuz you all kept saying "Stray dog strut"... Grr...

Yojimbo's great, and from what I've heard "Fistful of Dollars" is a scene-for-scene remake but with cowboys. See "Ran", definately his best film. Lone Wold and Cub isn't Kurosawa, but it's a decent action series (from what I've seen of it). Still, I don't think I've seen many filmmakers with the kind of ethical vision that Kurosawa had, and that he was able to put into his films (even the "action" ones).
