Has anyone seen the new Full Metal Panic: Fumoffu DVD yet or I My Me: Strawberry Eggs? I saw a trailer for Fumoffu and it looked hilarious ( I have FMP on the way as we speak), and Strawberry Eggs looked pretty funny and has Crispin Freeman, one of my top fave male VAs. Just wondering if anyone could give me some opinions!

Full Metal Panic Fumoffu is quite funny. It's one of the few that I found parts to be really laugh out loud. Be warned however to the fact that there is some mild language throughout it with a touch of fanservice. Indeed, if you have Full Metal Panic it makes Fumoffu much more enjoyable as you really need an understanding of the character's personalities going into it.

Strawberry Eggs is a show about a young man who desires to teach at a particular school. The head mistress is seeking to change it into an all girls school with an all woman faculty. Therefore, he is denied the job as a physical education instructor. He is convinced by his landlady to dress up as a woman in order to obtain the job and thus throughout the show seeks to hide his true identity. There are major warnings in a number of areas with this one. Fanservice is one. But the biggest is one which makes most uncomfortable, the fact that one of his female students develops a crush on her/him and doesn't understand why. While the audience realizes that the teacher is a man, she does not and is seeking to work through these feelings. Another fact in regard to this relationship, this is a very young student and not only is she developing feelings for him, but he in return has feelings for her. While all plays out OK in the end, it is not a title I would want a younger person to see and would give it at least a 16 and up rating.

Cool Rev. Doc! Thanks for the info! Yeah I had read something similar to that about Strawberry Eggs elsewhere but wasn't too sure how severe it was due to the information source. I'll think a bit more on that one. Thanks!

I haven't seen Strawberry Eggs yet, but FMP? Fumoffu is definately one of the funnier titles I've seen so far. I definately enjoyed it well enough to buy the Box + Volume 1 set. I believe there's only 11 total episodes for the series and will be released in four volumes, so it should be relatively quick to collect. Souske's antics are twice as hilarious in this one and his actions almost follows no logic (which makes it a lot more funnier). Definately some fanservice in the third episode, but nothing too distracting from what I've seen. Both English and Japanese versions contain some mild language, though it's really nothing to worry about.

Fumoffu is definately a great series to pick up if you enjoyed the first one. Just don't expect there to be any military action in Fumoffu as it is purely a "comedy\romance" series.

Woot! Just finished Full Metal Panic a few minutes ago! Yeah I'm kinda pathetic, I went through the whole show in just a little over 2 days. Anyways, now I'm even more stoked to see Fumoffu! FMP was such a great balance of everything, humor, romance, drama, action. I know Fumoffu is obviously sheer romance/comedy, but I loved FMP! I almost hit tears when when it was portrayed that one of the main character seemed to have died (ahem, capn). Anyways, just venting the excitement I guess!!!!
