Episode 22 of Cowboy Bebop: Pierrot La Fou

Holy whoa. I watched this episode of Cowboy Bebop last night, and I have to say, never before in my life have I seen something so mind-blowingly cool encapsulated into a twenty two minute period on the TV screen. This was easily my favorite episode of Cowboy Bebop so far. The first scene, where Pierrot attacks Spike and is kicking him around and then Spike ends up shooting the explosive barrel to try to blow Pierrot up...incredible. Then, the scene in the carnival later in the episode...that was completely rad.

So, what did other people think of Pierrot La Fou? It was mildly disturbing, but very, very, very cool. Cowboy Bebop has just gotten better and better as I've watched it, but this episode was amazing.

Ballad of Fallen Angels was pretty killer. I have yet to see 25 and 26. Almost there.

Bebop is an awesome series. La Fou freaked me out a bit....
His undoing was...kinda sickly funny though.

I don't understand how Pierrot Le Fou just dissapeared like that. Where are all the... nevermind.

I thought the whole episode was kindof funny. Maybe I have a stupid humour to think, that a fat man goes around killing people with an inflatable suit is funny.

I also thought Spike punching the guts out of Goofey was the funniest thing.
Ya, Cowboy Bebop is wonderful~
He got run over dident he? Its been a while since I watched it. I thought he got smashed into oblivion by a giant float parade...
I think what happened was
he was stepped on by some giant mechanical bear. That was kind of sad to see how he had mentally regressed into a child, who didn't know he was doing wrong. Remembering him crying itai, itai (subbed, I don't know what the dub did) really took the satisfaction out of the vanquishing-- which made it all the more powerful of an ending.
Then again, it's been a few years since I saw it, so maybe I misremembered some facts...

Definitely the best. Ending was so powerful..

Pierrot Le Fou opens up like a Batman cartoon episode from the '90s. The resemblance is uncanny. *Shivers*

Pierrot le Fu and Ballad of the Fallen Angels definitely rank among my favorite Bebop episodes.

:thumb: Though it's hard for anything to beat Toys in the Attic. XD;

I only vaguely remember this episode, but I think that's because I found it so disturbing that I mentally blocked it out. La Fou was freakin scary.

Toys in the Attic is definately one of my favorites

Mushroom Samba is good for laughs. Poor Spike...those steps never end...

The talking frog. And Faye swimming in the toilet paper.

The halloween episode is funny too. After all that Edward just eats the blob.. never leave a lobster in the fridge.

Pierott Le Fou is my favorite episode. I think Fallen Angels, Real Folk Blues 1 & 2 are better but this one is my personal favorite. I too love the scene where Pierott charges in, they melee, Spike get's punched, and you get a first person view with the gun, awesome...I made a gif of that part too I loved it so much.

I thought it was hilarious when Spike kicks the crap out of that robot goofy thing, and when Faye gets shot down and the other robot is dancing around.

*shudders* Ooo... That episode is freaky. All the more so for me because I only watch it very late at night. :eh: Still, it was pretty cool, though not one of my faves.

Also, to RoyalWing-
I don't think it was a suit, was it? I thought his ability to fly around was the result of all of those funky lab experiments... I dunno... It's been a while since I've watched it.
YESH! I love that episode. Used to be my favorite, but I've seen it 9 times so I'm obviously tired of it.

Mushroom Samba was great just because it had so much of Ed in it, and then, all of the characters from 70's Blaxploitation films...one of their last names was even Shaft. Of course, Hard Luck Woman has what I think is the best Ed quote ever and it is going to be used around my house until it has been thoroughly beaten into the ground. "THIS is the father-person!" I love that line.

I liked the Pierrot La Fou episode. Rather intresting.

Though I must say mt 3 favorite episodes would have to Jupiter Jazz part 1 and 2, Hard Luck Women, and Toys in the Attic.

Something about Jupiter Jazz just tugs at my heartstrings...plus I love the ending theme song of Jupiter Jazz part 2. As for Hard Lucky Women, the song "Call Me Call Me" is just something special.

Toys in the Attic is just freakin hilarious. My dad loves that episode as well.

Lol yeah I love those blaxploitation movies and that's like my second favorite one.:) Yeah he was one of the Shaft "brothers" and the other lady was like a Coffee clone. And that coffin dragging thing was from the western Django not a Blaxploitation thing though.

The only way the Blaxploitation references could have been better would if they'd had a nice Dolemite clone. Either way...awesome.

Ah, yes... The floating fat man... That episode LOOKS amazing, easilly some of the best action of the series. I didn't care much for the plot, though, 'cause... well, there isn't much of one.
All in all, I think my personal favorite episode is "Waltz for Venus."

Ballad of Fallen Angels - some serious awesomeness right there. RAIN changed my life.

I love Brain Scratch- it's so sad about that little comatose kid. And seeing Ed in a dress is quite hilarious, also.

I'm a big Faye Valentine fan, so Speak Like a Child is another of my favorite episodes. Makes me cry. Soooo sad.

But those are just the middle of the road ones I like. I of course love the Real Folk Blues, parts 1 & 2. Also very sad. In fact, this whole series makes me sad. But I love it. Odd.

Jupiter Jazz Part I is a good episode.
Except for that not-very-pleasant scene where Gren is in the shower and Faye bursts in.
This series is so full of awesomeness, it's hard to pick just one favorite, but...*grabs 6 CB dvds* mine are probably "Ballad of Fallen Angels", "Waltz for Venus", "Toys in the Attic", "Mushroom Samba", "Speak Like a Child", "Cowboy Funk", "Brain Scratch", "Hard Luck Woman", and "The Real Folk Blues Pts. I and II". That's a lot, huh?

I don't remember titles, but the last two episodes are the best... The last word that is spoken was great...
