Well, it looks good. Violent, but good. Any other content problem that you guys know of?

Well, I saw part of the first disc with my bro.
There was a guy who prolly gay. One character was making gay jokes about the kid character. (nasty)
One character was a guy who could communicate with spirits or something like that.
(I can only give you a rough idea cuz I only saw 2 or 3 episodes, not more than that.)

I'm currently reading the manga, but have yet to see the anime. From reading the manga, I'm not entirely sure I will let myself watch the anime. Bleh. I have no way of previewing it.

I've seen all the anime that has been released so far! I canNOT wait to get the fifth DVD tomorrow!
This is one of my most favoritest anime series! Its really good, and i'm not sure why you said one of the guys would be gay. None of them are gay. o.o; Unless you're talking about Souji Okita. He is NOT gay (sorry bout the caps, just trying to emphasize my thoughts) He's just very happy. He has a very serious side too. :nodnod:
Anyway, I can tell he's not gay at least. He's a really amusing character though. One of the coolest characters actually.
The guy that could 'communicate with spirits' was Hajime Saito. (Some of you may recognize him from Rurouni Kenshin.) He's very amusing too.
Lets see... as of content. There is some language. I'm not going to say that there isn't a lot, because there probably is a good bit, but not like a TON. There is blood. (Personally, I can handle blood so it doesn't bother me...) Uhm... There haven't been any you-know-what scenes yet... but there was a series of two episodes where Yamanami and Todo take Tetsu to Shimabara. It wasn't bad though. Nothing happened at all. It was actually really funny. Except when Shinpachi and Sanosuke were making comments about it... :shakes head:
I also heard that there was maybe a slight scene on the fifth dvd. Not a big one. (has to do with a whole spy undercover mission and stuff...)
Hmm. I think thats all. I love this series man! It's great. I'm not sure if you want to go by my opinion alone though, cause I love samurai stuff... and this is top notch to me. It's got historical accuracy (except for the weird ghost communication stuff), beautiful animation, great voice acting... Yah. I love it. (Like I've said.)
Well I've said alot so I'll go now. I hope I helped! ^_^

I've seen the whole series, and i like it alot, though theres not that much fight scenes in it, alot of it is just charachter development. It is a series that can go from very lighthearted to very serious, theres really only one half of an episode thats maybe not reccomended for the squemish (the brutal murder of one of the charachters) and in the fight scenes they don't shy awy from lots of blood. I'm on issue 3 of the manga, though the plot between the 2 is rather strange since half of the anime is in the prequel manga & half of the anime is in the peacemaker manga and hence theres not alot of timeline crossover between the 2.
I think alice was talking about when tetsu first meets Heisuke, he makes a joke about tetsu being really cute or something, and yeah Okita is definately not gay. He's my fave char, though you can prob ably tell because i have him in my avatar.

I've seen discs 1-3 (soon 4), and so far I am simply not impressed. I really hope it picks up. The characters are not all that great (though I like Tetsu's older brother since Ueda Yuji voices him), and the story isn't going anywhere at all. It's been relatively boring and nothing special. Hopefully it will get better.

[quote="Yeito"] None of them are gay. o.o]
Glad to hear it! Well, that's a relief! I doubt I'll watch any more of the show, though. They only have the one disc at the video store, and neither of us liked it well enough to buy it.
Maybe you should write a review? (Although do you have to see the whole show, first?)

Its a very character-development driven storyline, personally i really like the characters, and its cool that they are all based on (well except tetsu & tatsu) their real-life counterparts.

Tetsu and Tatsu are based on real people... Just not as closely as the other characters. At least I think thats what I read. I like Susumu. *-* :love!: I like Souji too though. <.<;
Seeing as how they have completely opposite personalities, I've decided I can't choose one as my number one character. Therefore, they both share the top spot on my favorite characters list. (But I must admit that I'm a wee bit partial to susumu. He's got the whole spy thing goin on... :nodnod: )
I just watched number five last night. I thought I was gonna cry. But I didn't! :has been working on her cryingness: I probably will in the next dvd. It looks sad. ;-;
The souji impersonator was just... scary. <.<; At one point I was like, " ::twitchtwitch:: >.o Nooo...." *sigh* Poor Souji.

Yeah there is character developement, but not enough story. And I've seen alot of characters that I like alot more and that I think are alot deeper. I just saw disc 4, and the series still doesn't seem to be picking up at all. Some of ep 16 was pretty funny, but that's the best I can say so far. I also think they should've gotten much better openings and endings. This whole American-style heavy metal-type thing just doesn't go with the time period this takes place in. I really don't find them enjoyable in themselves. And most of the background music is mediocre if not bad. Alot of it doesn't even sound like it was actually done by an orchestra like most anime music. This just isn't gripping me. Some series take some warming up to and some time for one to get to enjoy it. Azumanga Daioh, for instance, had me really disappointed at first. I couldn't see why people thought it was so good and funny. But as it went on, it got better and more funny, and the characters grew on me. By the 3rd disc, I thought it was good. But the 4th and 5th, I'm liking it enough that I definitely want to own it. But I've seen the first 15 eps of Peacemaker and so far no dice. I really do hope it gets better. It may very well. I want to see the whole series so I know. It's an ok series, but I was hoping for more. I guess time will tell, but everyone has different opinions.
BTW, you said Okita is not gay. Could you please elaborate on that (unless it's explained later in the series, in which case I'll see for myself)?

I think you should definately get the fifth dvd, cause the pace picks up pretty big on episode... 18. (sorry had to think about it) At least I think it did. I can tell theres going to be big stuff on the sixth dvd. :cant wait: <.< >.>
What I meant about Souji being gay.... Ok see some of my friends watched peacemaker too, and a couple of them kept insisting that Souji was gay. (Gay as in likes other guys.) And then they went way too far with it. So I was just.. reassuring the other guy that Souji wasn't gay. (his impersonater though.... <.<; Thats another story...)
BTW: on your top five to see list, X and Fruits Basket are really good in my opinion. X is more serious, and has some bloody parts, but Fruits Basket is mostly humor. Sorry. Got of subject x_x;

I was watching thhis aniem on comcast ondemand but the stop showing it. But as far as i saw there was a lot of blood (dudes body parts being decapetated). There was curing mostly from toske. there were referinces werethe capton guy told toske that he will have to learn how to become a demon(but they did not meen literal demon). I still think this is a stunig anime the voices are good the anime is good and it has god production value. I recommend it for people who are not squimish. and like samuris.

The story is a bit slow to pick up, generally with Peacemaker Kurogane, you either like it alot or its not your thing, i've yet to find many people in the middle ground on this anime.
Souji isn't gay, he just is really a big kid at heart (albeit one who could gut you with a katana in the blink of an eye!)
