I think this is pretty much my favorite anime. I love the storyline behind this anime and the characters are extremely well animated. I think my fav. character would have to be sanosuke. I also enjoy reading the manga series but i like the anime better. what do you think?

I love Rurouni Kenshin!! it is like my favorite anime in the world!!! I love Kenshin the best...heck i even painted my cieling tile with kenshin and kaoru on it a couple years ago..

i too, love the manga.. It is simply amazing. I love how the artwork is predominately hatching and crosshatching for the shading..there is very little toning.. at least in my opinion.. that takes dedication! Hatching is kinda hard..

i love the story as well. there is a lil bit of everything in it..there is drama, plenty of action, some romance, definately comedy.. did i mention violence?

this series is also a pretty modest series too, except for Yumi kamagata..and her kimono.but other than that.. this series is very decent..

my only complaint is all the swearing..but sometimes you hafta take the bad and the good.. in this case, the good far outweighs the bad!

In short..this series is AWESOME

hm u know what u inspired me to do something, maybe i shood paint some of my ceiling tiles with some of my favorite anime!!! sweet. yea there is a LOT of swearing, a lot of anime does have that but like u said the good far outweights the bad.

I enjoyed RK alot, it's an excellent anime. I personally highly prefer the OVAs over the series, but both are wonderful and more than worth seeing. Great characters and even better themes, the most noteable being redemption.

Kenshin is awesomeness! Kenshin, Sano, and Saito are my favs. Overall, I thought it was a great series.

I'm a big Kenshin fan, of both the manga and the anime. I love the Kyoto arc, but the dubbing for it was....eck....at times. And I hated that they gave most of the Oniwabanshu new VAs in the flashbacks.

There are some scenes that I like better in the manga, and some things I like better in the anime. All I need to do is see Trust & Betrayal, the last DVD of the first season, the entire Third Season, the director's cut of Reflections, and the end of the Kyoto and all of the Jinchuu arc for the manga and then I would have seen and read everything. I wonder if they'll release that special with the little clip of Kenji done in the original anime style. Forget what it's called....

Well, anyway, yeah....Big fan!

I love RK!!! I started watching it when it first came on Toonami forever ago, but was too young to focus or get it. When it aired again fairly recently, I got hooked, but it was cancelled after like the 20th episode. So, I bought the manga. I'm up to volume 12 now(part of the Kyoto arc) and can't wait for more!!

I liked the anime, but have only seen the dubbed version, and its dubbing is...well...not great at times, especially b/c of the absence of Kenshin's catchphrase(ORO!! @.@). But, I dislike the original version as well, b/c Kenshin is very obviously played by a high-pitched voiced girl. Maybe I'm too picky?

I know pretty much everything that happens in the story(heard from friends), so I bought the Samurai X OVAs. They are really, really good, I think. I haven't seen the movie yet, though. Also, a good thing about the OVAs (and manga) is the slightly more serious tone(although the former can be downright depressing b/c of it).

But now I'm rambling, as usual(sorry!). Anyway, I totally looove this series and the whole idea of an awesome story that actually has some real history in it. Knowledge is power!!

LOL! I for one really like the dub version.. and I have even watched it with subtiles going at the same time. I thought that the dub was VERy close.. but that was me.. Richard Hayworth has such a cute voice, and later in the series, he does Go, "Oro!" I laughed when he did TO!

I guess the translator, Rika something.. didn't think that it would benefit the american audience (or english audience..) but i guess later they decided to put it in

I too, watched Kenshinw hen It came on toonami... waht was that 2 years ago? Anyway.. I thought Kenshin was a girl at first.. now I laugh on that! LOL

But yah.. Kenshin Is awesome. Manga Rocks, OVAs rock.. Anime Rox Movie rox.. Kenshin Rox.. The whole Cast Rox!

my only complaint is the ADV dub.. That is my only complaint..

I agree with you, haru_bay_nay! Sometimes Kenshin's voice gets to me too. *lol* But hey, I figure that it's better than not having a voice at all. ^_^

Maha! My best friend thought that Kenshin was a girl when I showed her the manga, and she scoffed *yes, scoffed* But she read it anyway and is now hooked. ^_^

I love both anime and manga Ruroken! Maybe we should start a guild or something of Kenshingumi? It would be really cool beacuse I know of so many fans on this site! My favorite version is the manga, and Kenshin is favorite(surprise?)

Oh, yeah. Last time I forgot to mention my fave characters. They would have to be- Kenshin(not Battousai! Scaaary!!), Kaoru, Misao, Saito, and Soujiro. That's a lot, huh? *feels dumb* -.-;

Rurouni Kenshin was the first anime I saw that wasn't fantasy or sci fi.
My favorite characters are Kenshin and Karou and Megumi.I love it when
Kaoru gets angry and bashes Kenshin over the head with the nearest object.
That's almost as funny as when Kagome gets mad at Inuyasha and keeps
yelling:"SIT BOY!SIT!SIT!SIT!"
