Kamikaze Kaitou Jeanne (American: Phantom thief Jeanne)-what do you think?

OK, Besides the fact that Jeanne's the 'Reincarnation of John D'Arc', the rest of the show seems very Christian Oriented. It seems to me like the writer of the original Manga, Arina Tanemura, may have been a Chrisian (Though Catholic, it seems...), and was trying to get unbelievers saved. Just an oppinion, but what do you think about it?
Criticisms, good points, etc...

BTW: The art's pretty good, I love it! Very much effort! :)

I think the US only has the manga out, for now, but it aired in Europe quite a couple of times! ;)

But who knows? Better check the american anime release...

I wrote the review; you can find it in the database here:http://www.christiananime.com/reviews.php?display=39

As I wrote in your manga thread, I enjoyed the series quite a bit (I'm a huge fan of Tanemura-sensei) and I think it had some good points/themes in it. However there are some SERIOUS theological issues that Christians need to be aware of before jumping into it. I would recommend it only to those who are strong in their faith and not bothered by less-than-truthful depictions of Christianity (note that I do not believe Tanemura was making in fun of us or mocking Christianity, but merely treating it like a greek myth).

I liked the series...but yes, Ashley has a point about the Christianity teachings. One thing that bothered me was that Jeanne's little...thingie she uses to transform is called a "rosary." O.o But anyway, I love Arina Tanemura's style...and the storyline is cute and fun.
