I have heard of it, but have yet to see it. I believe it is from the same director as Akira, but don't quote me on that.

Too late.
Luckily, you're correct. I haven't seen this movie either, but the trailers look wicked awesome.

I drove my friends 26 miles just to see it and it was definitely well worth it and the theatre we went to was showing the japanese version w/ english subs which was even better, also considering the fact that 20 minutes of footage was edited out of the english version. This is definitely a must have for my anime DVD collection.

Despite the fact that the Anime News Network reported that Ebert gave it a thumbs down from what I have seen in the ads and read about it in Anime Insider it looks
like a great movie to see.Ebert has been wrong before.

How do I know what theaters show the subbed version? I wasn't even sure that that was ever done. Very cool. I hope they do that for Howl's release.

i've seen ads for this online.....unfortunately it won't be playing anywhere near me for quite a while....mebbe in Vegas(i'm about 2 hours away from vegas) but i don't think i'm gonna go all the way to vegas to see a movie. mostly because nobody would take me.
