CAA: Christian Anime Alliance

We've already got the Sakura and CLAMP fanclub, so why not have a club for the company that does the best animation? So this idea comes from the sakura and CLAMP fanclub. The title is kiddy grade and GONZO fanclub because kiddy grade is my fvorate anime and it sounds better than just GONZO fanclub wouldn't you say?

I'll start out by listing the GONZO animes I've seen. The most obvious one is Kiddy Grade as my sig suggests. Next is full metal panic, hellsing and last exile. Hellsing and full metal panic ive seen the whole series of kiddy grade ive just got to get the last dvd.

"cute" isnt GONZOs style unlike CLAMP. Watching Hellsing will attest to that. GONZO has great animation great character designs and great storylines. I'll post some pics once i learn how to attach thumbnails and such. Feel free to post some pics of any GONZO anime if you know how to attach pics to your posts.

I want to do GONZO quizes too with something to put in your sig if you get all the questions right, I've got high goals for this thread, but I'm getting ahead of myself. I need members for this to work. So who wants to join? Who loves GONZO animes?

A friend of mine is doing a lot of chattering about Kiddy Grade right now. Sounds like it deserves a look.

I loved Full Metal Panic! as well as Melty Lancer, Last Exile, and Vandread.

I think a key difference between GONZO and CLAMP is GONZO is an animation studio where as CLAMP produces original manga. Some day, there could be a GONZO release of a CLAMP title.

Welcome to the club Termyt, our first member. ^_^ Thanks for the info on the difference between CLAMP and GONZO. It's interesting to learn stuff like that.

I'm thinking of doing a simalar thing with ranks and posts as spiritsword has done with the sakura and CLAMP fanclub thread. My plan is something like the different ranks will be ES Member: Class C or ES Member: Class S and ES Member: Class G, but im still in the process if working everything out. The ranks and such will likely be from Kiddy Grade.

Being the founder and leader of a fanclub thread might be challenging, but I'm going to do my best, but it's the members that will make this work. Not just me. I'm going to do both a monthly quiz and GONZO character quotes that you can try to work out who said them. I'm just going to do my best to make this a fun club to be part of.

For a first question, what GONZO character do you like the most and why?

Aule1701. Welcome to the club. The nice sig is a possibility. I've got some ability in using paint to edit images, but I'd appreiciate some ideas of what image or images to use. That's just one of the things I'd like to do.

Seems like so far I'm the only one here who knows anything about Kiddy Grade though. Full Metal Panic seems to be the common anime between us so far so I'll work out a quiz on that as well as quotes. As for a reward for doing the quizes and such im not sure yet. Maybe I'm trying too hard. Anyway i welcome any suggestions.

The story centres around the Galactic Organistion of Trade and Tarrifs, or GOTT, which was formed to settle econimic disputes among the member planets. Existing in the shadows of the GOTT are the ES members who serve as the GOTT's primary law enforcement organisation. Es members Eclair and Lumiere are part of this organisation and work pursuing all manner of crimanals and bringing them to justice.as well as discovering more about the organisation they work for.

The first few episodes have some comedy, but not enough to call kiddy grade a comedy anime and later on things get more serious as the storyline and characters are developed. I guess id better warn you that there is fanservice in the anime but it's not too much in my opinion.

I have liked every Gonzo anime I have watched. There animation is supurb.
Chrono Crusade, Last Exile, Yukikaze, Full Metal Panic, Kiddy Grade. I have seen all of these and enjoyed them quite a bit. My foavorite was Last Exile, the story was great and the art was stunning. I also really liked Kiddy Grade, and Chrono Crusade is turning out to be a good one to. Unfortunatly I haven't had a chance to see all of Yukikaze yet, but as an be expected the animation is great. Peacemaker is pretty good to.
I saw Gravion and enjoyed it as well. Exellent animation and a fun story.

Kura Ookami I have seen all but 2 or three volumes of Kiddy Grade. I have seen the ending though. The only thing I am unaware of is what happens in the middle My favorite character is...either Eclaire or Lumire, I can't pick I like the whole way they swap bodies and such. Its a kindda cool take on sci-fi.

My favorite Gonzo character...hm...that would probobly have to be Rossette Christopher from Chrono Crusade.

Well, let's see... I've seen all of Full Metal Panic, seen a little of Last Exile and I have Peacemaker, but I still haven't seen it. Lol. That's enough to join though right? ^^
I think my favorite character would hafta be Sosuke. He's just too funny! ^^ Not too crazy about Kaname, she's got too much of a temper. I really don't remember anyone from Last Exile though. Lol.

It seems like there are some anime series I didn't even realize were produced by GONZO that I like (Peacemaker--watched today, Chrno Crusade--watched the last couple of days, and Gravion). I also watched Last Exile today )last volume--great to see the ending! Vandread and GateKeepers/GateKeepers21 are great GONZO series as well. I've never seen Hellsing but I might have to give it a try. I've seen the first volume of Kiddy Grade, and a little FMP.

My favorite GONZO character? Dita from Vandread! lol She cracks me up.

I havent watched some of these animes. Just the four i mentioned in my first post, Kiddy Grade, Hellsing, Full Metal Panic and Last Exile. I've just realised i havent said who my favorate GONZO character is Eclair from Kiddy Grade. She's pretty and a strong ES member to boot.

I havn't seen volumes 5 or 6 I believe. I don't recall a recap episode so I probobly missed it. What happens when one man weilds tremendous power...I guess you'll have to wait and see

It's always hard for me to pick a favorite character. I seem to pick the least popular character of a series, the one that gets the least screen time. Like Ukyo from Ranma.

That said, I think my favorite Gonzo character is Vandread's Meia. Something about her resonated with me. I could identify with her.

The recap episode is episode 16 so it's on the sixth dvd. You must have been a little confused by what was happening in volume seven. At least to begin with. That's really why i watch animes in the order you're meant to watch them in.

I wonder what character would be your favorate from Kiddy Grade, Termyt. I don't think you'd like Alv and Diverger. Maybe you'd like Timothy Constance? I don't know.

Okay here's anoother GONZO based question. If you could choose any GONZO character to be your bodyguard who would you choose?

I've thought of some questions for the quiz already and they're based on Full Metal Panic, but I'll post them at the end of this month or the start of next month.

Burst Angel (Baku-Ten) is a new series by GONZO that I'm looking forward to seeing (this image is a little fan-service-y, if it's too much delete it).

Good question, Kura! Rosette would be a bit scary to have as a bodyguard--I think she might cause more damage than she would protect me. No one from Vandread springs to mind. Jo from Burst Angel would be cool, but since I haven't seen the series yet I'm not sure on that one either. I'd like a bodyguard who would be fun to hang out with as well as strong and protective. I'll go with Jo for now because she's a gunslinger and gunslingers are just cool.

I'd choose Eclair too. I just love her personality and she'd be alot of fun to be with as well as being strong. If I cant choose anyone from Kiddy Grade then Souske Suagara would probably be the best choice. He's funny even though he doesn't intend to be.

I like that pic of Burst Angel. It looks like it's another anime with fanservice, but I'm already aware that GONZO animes usually have a good storyline and characters as well as fanservice. I dont notice the fan service much in Kiddy Grade in the later episodes.

Bodyguard huh? Definitely Sosuke. ^^ He can be a stiff sometimes, but he's still cool; like Kura said, he can be funny sometimes, even though he doesn't mean to be.
Out of all of the Gonzo villians, which do you think is the best? I think Gauron was my favorite, but then again, I haven't really seen many others but Full Metal Panic. Lol.
Has anyone read the Full Metal Panic manga? I know 7 just came out fairly recently and such, but does anyone know how many more there will be?

Good question shadowblade. There seem to be two types of villian in animes. The ones who actually fight the good guys and the ones who are always behind the scenes manipulating things. I prefer the ones who fight the good guys, though the ones that dont are a nice change of pace. Gaurons the coolest really.

I've just got the first volume of Chrono Crusade as well. Hopefully ill have some time to watch it soon. The more GONZO anime i watch the more questions i can get for quizes.

as for shadow blades question i am not sure i think some think like 12-14 but i am not sure because fmp was novel (LIKE ROD)first so i am not sure i might be wrong the same guy who does the novel does the manga i think

I am a fan of what I've seen from Gonzo. My favorite so far is probably R.O.D. the TV, but it hasn't all been released yet. Even though I'm not a big fan of all their stuff, such as Hellsing, the animation is always top notch.

My favorite character is Anita King, I'd take the Paper Sisters for body guards (if I have to choose one, it's Maggie), my favorite villian is too much of a spoiler, even for spoiler tags (you know you'd look ), and it's been too long since I've seen FMP.

Kiddy Grade and Chrono Crusade are high on my "to see" list.
