Last exile. Very Clean. But you know, you could check over the "review" section at the top of the page. It's an excellent resource.

Rurouni Kenshin is one of THE best anime. It's also one of the cleanest. It's sweet, funny, has great battles, awesome characters, bishonen and bishojo...it's awesome! ^_^

What are your preferences?

In addition to the above, I recommend Macross, Escaflowne, Jubei-chan and R.O.D.

Stay away from Ninja Scroll and some of the stuff on the Do Not Discuss list.

Angelic Layer, Cowboy Bebop, Fruits Basket, Record of Lodoss War. Check the reviews section for all of these to see if they're suitable for you and your preferences. :thumb:

Wolf's Rain, Escaflowne, Matantei Loki Ragnarok (Detective Loki over here, if I remember right), and Tactics are all excellent series, though the latter two are difficult to come by as Loki hasn't been formally released in the states yet and Tactics has yet to be liscensed.

Azumanga Daioh, Sailor Moon, Tokyo Godfathers (brief nudity), Urusei Yatsura

Stuff to stay clear of: The Ping Pong Club, Mahoromatic, Oruuchuban Ebichu...

Okay, I think I can do this without mentioning..."it".

Um. Sheesh. I really can't think of anything. Well, I haven't seen it yet, but NausicaA looks good.

Speed Racer...

The new Astroboy series is good, check it out.

Yeah. The opening credits were totally unecessary, as well as one scene in episode 9. I think they're trying to spoof James Bond somewhat.

I would suggest any of the Gundam series (except 08th MS Team), since you seem to like action anime. Of course, romantic comedies are a lot of fun, including Marmalade Boy, Comic Party, Sailor Moon, Fruits Basket, and Jubei-chan.

Also, someone mentioned Tokyo Godfathers, but you should probably stay away from that one, since it features a transvestite and other objectionable sexual content. See the review section for that one.

Hey now there is only one brief nudity scene in it. And 8th MS Team is probably one of the if not the best Gundam series. And there are other Gundam series and movies with brief nudity in them anyway.:eyeroll:

True, but the scene in 08th MS Team is far from brief, there is nudity in the closing credits, and the language is stronger than in other Gundam series.

I'm only acknowledging the facts of its objectionable content. :)

Uh literally you could sneeze and it would be over... It can't be over a second and a half. Besides there's a scene with nudity in G Gundam, Zeta Gundam, and the Mobile Suit Gundam movie and you're not mentioning those. And the closing credits scene was also extremely brief and since he's waving the magazine around it's hard to make out unless you pause it right at that scene.

And not everyone is offended by strong language. As long as it's not too over the top I can tolerate it.

Yes, I acknowledge the brief nudity in the other Gundams. I just do not see them as graphic or time-consuming as the one in 08th MS Gundam. And no, not everyone is offended by foul language. But some people are.

I would rather this particular discussion to end, Yojimbo, before some kind of debate or argument starts up. Agreed? :thumb:

Shinzo is a really good one. It is the cleanest anime I've every seen. Also another good one is Slayers.
As for ones that I think are bad: Bouble gum squad; and ghost in the shell 9that is if you don't like lots of cursing

I can't believe that no one has mentioned Witch Hunter Robin yet. (oh wait...the whole "witch" thing might be considered objectionable by some...) but not by me though!!

Well considering they're not real witches I can't see why anyone would object to it, besides the fact that they're just called "witches."

Interesting, as I saw it primarily as a story of redemption as we have three people who would be pretty repugnant who are motivated to attempt something good. If they had made the character out to be a drag queen as a positive thing, I could see the objection, but the three main characters
a man who abandoned his family over a gambling debt, a drag queen and a pre-teen who stabbed her father
would be the dregs of society and in a Buddhist/Confucian society would be looked at as getting what they deserve. Satoshi Kon choosing them as heroes would be as unusual to the Japanese as choosing a Samaritan to be the hero of a parable would be to the Jews in the time of Jesus

Ai Yori Aoshi (best romance anime ever probably, and it also has good comedy)
Ai Yori Aoshi Enishi (after you see the above)
InuYasha (worth the hype, alot of drama, romance, action, comedy, you name it)
Trigun (great humor, action, drama, and one of the few anime that seem to support Christianity (watch ep 23 and see why))
Samurai X/Rurouni Kenshin (see Samurai X Trust and Betrayal first, then Rurouni Kenshin and the Samurai X movie, then see Samurai X Reflection)(Samurai X has incredible music and animation and plenty of action, drama and romance, but if you hate bloodspray, you may not like it)(Rurouni Kenshin has comedy but it has less and less as the show runs it seems, and it also has alot of action, romance and drama)
Chobits (great comedy and romance, though if you have a low tolerance for fanservice it may bother you)
Fullmetal Alchemist (Anime Insider says it best: "Entertaining, heart-breaking and thought provoking. One of-if not the-greatest anime ever.")
Grave of the Fireflies (one of the best movies, anime or non-anime, that I have ever seen. Heart-warming and definitely heart-breaking. A movie I think everyone should see. It shows how horrible war is. Get your tissue box for this one though)
