I mean no offense, but you
are connected to a massive collection of interconnected documents designed to inform people about nearly anything, including anime series.
A pretty good site for the series is:

Well… I don’t really know what to say about this one… I actually enjoyed parts of the few episodes I saw, but I don’t think I would watch it again, nor could I recommend it to any one.
The characters were well made and the story flowed well, but… There was a lot of ‘other stuff.’
No, I would not recommend this to any one. Sorry 3x3 fans.

Though you shouldnt be scared/scarred because:
*sings*
"God is bigger then the boogieman
He’s bigger then Godzilla
Or the monsters on TV!
God is bigger then the boogieman
And He’s watching out for you and me!"

Ack! Not the stick! (Atleast I didnt have to wear the 'dunce' hat again...
*goes to fix error*
I suppose if we put every single anime that really was not to be disscussed on the list, it would be pretty long. Then Im sure some debate would arise between banned and not-banned titles (even ones that should have been banned but were previously unknown).
I think they are hopping we use a little personal discression in what we disscuss here, while banning the obvious topics that may come up.

Was it sexual or something?

Let me put it this way: the titles on the list are there only because they contain explicit yaoi/yuri or because they came up repeatedly and caused an extensive argument each time. We do not ban titles simply because we disagree with them, they promote bad values or they're terribly stupid.
I'm not particularly a fan of 3x3 Eyes, but what makes it that freaky? In any case, yes, we highly support personal discretion.

I've seen an episode or two and to me it was disturbing. It was dark (spirtually) and had fountains of blood and gore. No sex or references. I found it at the local library and it was rated M15+ for medium level violence. I say stay away from it.

Well it's obviously spiritually dark...it's called something of the divine demon. That in itself is enough to make me say "no". Demons in anime/manga are *sometimes* permissible but...divine demon? No thanks...

As far as I'm concerned, it was excellent. And there is no reason a Christian could not watch it. It actually made me sad at times and Pai was soooooo cute.
I could easily watch it again.
Dark spiritually? I'm not so sure about that. All you have to do is keep in mind that you know, the anime world
isn't real. Its not the real world. Why compare it to that? Its fantasy. Besides, to the Japanese, a demon is not the same thing as it is to the Western world. Its just a fantastical creature, maybe from another dimension or something. It does NOT have the context of the western Christian idea of "demon" at all.
There is a bit of violence yes, but nowhere near the worst ones. Just because her title may be "divine demon" is no reason to get legalistic and make the words mean something more than they do. They are just saying that she is a powerful (divine) creature from another dimension (demon.) Its all context. Its not like this anime is supposed to be a religious treatise or something, its pure fantasy and is meant to be taken as such.
Let me edit once again and say no reason a Christian ADULT couldn't watch it... the violence may be too much for some younger folks, considering there may be some of you here

I wasn't too creeped out about this show, and I certainly wasn't offended. The worst part of the show is that it deals with the gods of the Hindu pantheon. I simply viewed it the same way I view stories about Greek or Norse gods, a mythological story meant simply to entertain. The most spiritually dark part of it is that their friends keep getting caught in the middle of the conflict. The creepiest part is a scene of attempted human sacrafice, but they save the victim. The series also ends on a somewhat positive note.
I found it enjoyable enough to rent, but I don't think I'd buy this one. Once again, use your own personal discretion.

I actually thought 3x3 eyes was good. Yes sometimes all the blood got on my nerves, but I thought it was a good story none the less. . .

Stick? I get it 3X3X3 is actually the dimensions of a wooden board. It's a do-it-yourself show!!!!

I would say it's definitely not for everyone, but I don't think it's content should be viewed as offensive to Christians. Those who don't like violence should stay away but the religious content, etc is much more mild then many of the titles many of us say we love.

I know, Steve Racer (hehe, that name's funny...
), but I wasn't interested in it in the first place. I just wanted to see what it was.
By the way divine means godly. And I know that demons in anime are *usually* different from Christian ones. The ones in Inuyasha don't bother me but the ones in Yuyu Hakusho do. But that's because the ones in Inuyasha are 99% monster and 1% demon (only 1% because that's what they're called), but the ones in YYH are 100% demon in my opinion. So I look at it like that.
I don't think I'll ever really want to see it, I just wanted to know what people were talking about in the "strange things about you and Anime" thread.

o_O Umm, I now that YYH’s focus is primarily against Demonic enemies (and friends), but in Inuyasha the demonic presence is much more then 1%. Inuyasha himself is half demon (remember, he wanted to be 100%). The monk dudes primary job is to expel demons… not monsters. They are supposed to be demons just the same, regardless of how the dialog my have been translated.

Oops, I missed this question. Sorry.
No there is no sex in it (that I know of) but there are a few scenes with some pretty skimpy/revealing cloths… I also found the part where ‘that guy who posses bodies’ took over that girls body pretty disturbing… GUAH!!! *tries to shake pictures out of head*

Er, okay. I was using divine in a more general sense. Just look it up in a thesaurus. It really can mean much more than just 'godly.' Such as, "That dinner was divine." Not that its that important tho...
Hey I like my name.
