I saw this series awhile back but only the first two parts. The series consists of 4 episodes each an hour long. Its a really old series but i was wondering if anyone had ever heard of it or seen it. I wanted to know if it was worth watching the series all the way through or if it was good enough to buy. I guess if you've seen it, just give me a little review. Anyways, thanks a bunch :thumb: ;) :P :)

Arislan was one of the first anime I ever watched. I remember liking it at the time--I was in middle school, I think--but since I didn't really have much to compare it to, I don't know how trustworthy that assessment is. My guess is that it would at least be worthwhile to watch, especially if you're into the adventure/fantasy genre.

I have the DVD series. There are 4 episodes plus something called Age of Heroes. I remember actually liking episode 1 and hating the others. Mostly it drove me crazy that the heroes pulled off these incredibly unlikely victories or escapes from villains who would have a hard time committing successful armed robbery at the Alzheimer's ward at a nursing home.

I didn't really think it was worth watching. Worse than Lodoss War (OVA) and slightly worse than Lodoss: Chronicles of the Heroic Knight. If you liked COTHK, then this might be OK.

I would say that if you are a hard-core fan of the fantasy genre, then you will probably enjoy most of the series. For many others, the series will kind of be dry.

I found the characters to be rather dull and uninteresting but the story was OK. As far as objectionable content, I don't remember any.

It really doesn't help that they change how they pronounce the names of all of the characters in the English dub about half way through, either.
