YAY! I hope someone fansubs it so Americans can see it, because I doubt anyone would pick it up for official distribution in the US. I have the opening sequence downloaded on my comp. and a music video.

You mean you didn't know? I saw 3 episodes on fansubs, and decided that the series was too young for me (aimed at pre-teen girls). I'd recommend the anime over this.
Of course, if you're a fan of SM like I am you'll probably ignore all the warnings like I did

Yeah, I've known about this for a while.
Though I don't know if I'll actually watch it. I tend to be kinda wary of live action Japanese shows...*COUGHpowerrangersvrtroopersCOUGH*
It's probably nowhere near as good as the anime. Besides, Saturn isn't in it. Bah! Away with you non-Hotaru-chan-having Sailor Moon episodes!

Well, Saturn wouldn't be in it, since it's basically retelling Season 1 isn't it? I quit after 3 episodes so maybe it took some changes though.
Unfortunately, I had the fansubs done with the Video clock on the screen (see picture) and the fansubbers putting in some crude asides in the text.
(Never mind, picture got lost in transmission).

Actually, it has already ended and I've watched all the episodes. Granted, in the beginning I watched it to laugh at it--and laugh I did till spittle covered my monitor. But seriously, I don't know WHEN I started getting used to all the corny-ness (probably around episode 10) and found out that hey, they actually have a pretty decent storyline that is different from both the anime and manga.
THAT got me hooked.
By the later episodes around 20 up the graphics and acting improved, along with everything else, I'm honestly surprised. For a live action based on *Sailor Moon* they really, really, went beyond my expectations.
And dang it, they finally have some focus on the Shitennou!!! XD XD

Omg! *gag and then gag some more* The live action Sailor Moon may be a good series, and I am as big of a Sailor Moon fan as much as the next person but why didn't they let it go, I mean lets keep the anime that should be good enough.

LOL, I'm not a huge fan of Sailor Moon, but I always thought it would be an interesting series to do live action. I really like the way they did Amy's hair.

cdjapan has a dvd sequel, taking place 5 years later. Not subbed though.
People interested in Live Action might want to try GTO (which I liked better than the anime) and Shomuni (based on an out of print manga). I'd recommend skipping "You're Under Arrest" live version however.

Hmm...you liked it, termyt? I trust you...I'll give it a shot, if it ever gets over here.

There's a "You're Under Arrest" live version? That doesn't sound good...
BTW, I'm well aware it's a retelling of the first season...which didn't have Hotaru-chan in it. The first season was my next-to-last favorite season. It wasn't bad, mind you, just not as good as S, R, or Stars.
I loved it ^^

I don't think you'll be disappointed. I think any true Sailor Moon fan would be just as fascinated by the live action version. It's a bit corny at times - but corny-funny not corny-poke-your-eyes-out, and that just adds to the appeal. The show itself has the same "feel" as the anime.
"Live action" Luna - I about cried laughing when I saw her.
