CAA: Christian Anime Alliance

I looked up some new anime on Netflix. I saw a description that sounded pretty cool about this prison escape sci-fi thing. It called it a "beautiful, offbeat anime"

I put it on my queue, and when I finally got it... I put it in just to check out the artwork... Well, it wasn't what I call "beautiful" and it was more than offbeat... It seemed rather mediocre until they got to the prison, the titular "Dead Leaves." From there it was sexual material that was so direct, I cringed quite a lot... For some reason, I can almost never stop a movie once I get it going... The only exception has been End of Evangelion...

Anyhow, by the end of the thing I felt rather violated... I thought I'd just warn everyone even though it looked and sounded cool, IMNSHO there is not a single redeemable thing to it.

I need to check the reviews here... Or, even the reviews at netflix... I guess if I had looked at the reviews, I'd have known that there was something severely messed up about it...

I actually wanted to get this one after reading an article about it in Newtype USA. (Mainly cause of the animation/character design) But then I read a review on Amazon, and it had everything you could imagine that's wrong. I mean, a tube that sucks your waste out? *BARF!* This stuff is filthy trash!!

Um. that's not really filthy. I believe that's called a colostomy? Or something. not completely sure.

I know Usher supposedly gets them done like once a week to keep him cleaned out and thin. I wouldn't want that =\

Poop tubes aren't as bad as sex though. (Poop tubes are nasty, but...that wouldn't get something a mature rating.)

Ee...I took one look at the artwork and was utterly repulsed. And from what I've heard, I'm definitely avoiding it.

Now that we've clarified the content, is there anything further to add on this?
