The Anime Network recently made this announcement to customers and fans alike:
<<Anime Fans of America:

You’ve made Anime Network, the only dedicated anime channel in America, a breakout sensation on Video on Demand. Thank you.

But now, Anime Network’s continued operation and expansion is in jeopardy. Despite the overwhelming success of Anime Network on Demand, certain cable executives think they can program any old anime, and that the fans of America won’t know the difference. That’s just not right.

We need every anime fan in America to make their preference for Anime Network heard. Log on to http://www.theanimenetwork.com, fill out a simple form and send your desire for a 24 hour Anime Network directly to the decision makers at America’s largest cable company. Or call the good folks at Comcast directly at (215) 665-1700 and say, “I’ll switch for Anime Network.â€

I would, but Comcast doesn't offer service in my area. RoadRunner has some sort of deal where they have a monopoly on this section of town.

Plus, my mom hates anime.

I have Comcast, but the only way to get Anime Network was if you had comcat digital cable and that would cost me like $100 or more to get it.

So, untill they add it to just cable. I don't really care what happens to it.

I don't have Comcast...I have Adelphia. They don't carry Anime Network, so it really don't matter much to me either. Sorry, but I'm not gonna vote on something that doesn't affect me.

Now I know why they are worried.

Comcast had signed a deal with Sony to launch three new cable TV networks in North America, among the likely candidates was Sony's Animax network.

And Anime Network is doing new negotiations with several major Cable and Satellite companies, but Comcast is really thinking of not dealing with Anime Network and sign a deal with Sony's Animax network.
