Blue Submarine No. 6.
I have seen disc one, and its about a world where humans are fighting sea animals and are trying to save the flooded earth... I saw it a long time ago. Range Murata did charachter design, so graphics are good... its very pretty, with 3d and 2d animation by gonzo. Dont remember language...it was probably minor cussing.
lots of blood and violence. one charachter (female) go's topless in the disc I saw, though she is a mermaid type thing.

Yea Blue Sub 6.... it was like 4 or 6 episodes if I reemmber correctly, it was pretty short either way. Kinda weird too, the whole fact of the chreatures being created by this Doctor Moreau kinda guy.... they are all like animals that can walk and talk and stuff. I don't remember much language, but it is violent and the mermaid girl things are rather skimpy.....

O GOSH! You guys are killing me!!!
Blue Submarine No.6
4-part OVA
Revolutionary cause it's the first anime to "skillfully" weave 2d and 3d graphics together.
if you see the Toonami edited version, the mermaid people have no details at all. Just the shapes. But on the uncut version, they have circles on their chests. It's never really bad, but it's still pretty sensual and I think it should've been at least a 15+ rating. It's actually really good if you can appreciate it for what it is. The main storyline isn't the best, but the digital animation and battle scenes are very entertaining to watch.

Zipo, I saw it about a year ago, and it wasn't the toonami version.

Um, good for you. Maybe you're confused. There are 3 formats available in the US. The single episode DVDs uncut (you saw the first one like, you said) the uncut boxset with all the episodes+an expansive bonus disk, and then there's the Toonami "movie" version that's edited. (Yes, you can buy it) It's all the episodes mashed together with some stuff edited and some stuff cut.

I saw disc one of the uncut version. I am providing a limited review based on what I saw on that version. There's no need to be rude, and I am not confused, I am operating based on what I know from past experience with the series.
Based on reviews of the cut versions, it sounds like some major scenes were cut out that made the plot of the series work, unfortunately. A version with the nudity edited out would have been more enjoyable.

It was edited for for showing on Toonami.
It was directed by Maehiro Maeda and animated by studio Gonzo originally.

When Toonami frist did their showing of Blue Sub 6, they shows each ep every other day and was more to its OVA format.
Then, they just took the ED out if each OVA and formated it into one long like movie.
They did the same thing with Gundam Wing Endless Waltz. The one that we saw wasn't the true Movie of Endless Waltz, but it was just the OVA and they formated it into a movie.

ZIPO, please leave the rudeness out of your future posts.
GreyRauken, I have the dvd that Toonami released. While I thought it was weird, it was pretty clean. And Wingzero22 is correct - there are four episodes total.

mechana2015 & Gypsy: My deepest apologies. I simply didn't fully understand what he was saying/asking. It's completely my fault.
Wingzero22: Yes, you are correct. It IS 4 episodes long. I'm very sorry for this mix up as well. I had Gundam 0080 and FLCL series lengths on the brain, so I was confused.

Its okay, I get mix up with series lengths at times too. Most OVA's are six eps or longer. The only four that I know that are shorter then six are, Endless Waltz, Blue Sub 6, Read or Die and Macross Zero.
