Mariko, because she's adorable and messed up. Nana because I find her the easiest to relate to and Kurama for simmilar reasons, that and he's a guy with glasses in a suit.

I'd say because of the downloading factor (many people can't download for reasons, and others don't want to), and possibly the fact that it IS an underrated not-well known series. Even if the fan site DID get over 25,000 hits, it's not as well known as oh say... Naruto when it comes to anime.

ADV has picked up this title for region 1 distribution so there will not be an opportunity to download the fansubs now. I'm not really a fan of the more violent series and just about everything I read pointed to this so I passed it up to concentrate on a few others.

That and Elfen Lied is also a more mature series. Being as violent and slightly ecchi as it is I doubt it would appeal to the more conservative, young, or immature members of our population. It is rather deep and one of the best series I've found but some people might not really appreciate that aspect of it due to the violence and ecchiness.

One would think that an ecchi title would attract the immature, Ouroboros, instead of repel them, but for reasons different than why you and the others enjoy the anime. Just a thought. But I agree with the conservative and young part.

I had thought about d/l this series untill I had seen several wallpapers of it ....they were all very ecchi so I had decided not to after all -_-

I'm with you Rev.Doc, the violence really gets to me too. I can't watch slasher flicks either. :( Thank you for letting us know ADV has picked it up. I will probably want to buy the soundtrack, however.

When you say mature, do you mean an older audience? And, this is no more ecchi than Love Hina, Ai Yori Aoshi and a few others; this is probably mature for the reasons of extreme violence. Of course, I've only seen spatters (pun  ) of this show.

Actually, it is quite ecchi... but only in certain parts. As far as I'm concerned, many official pics of the show make it look qorse than it really is :/ Even if... both the op/end depict nudity... and somewhat more detailed than regular anime... Well, then again nudity is used in both ecchi ways and when the show's beign serious... then again it's still in a fan servicey reason :/

But it's also mature for the violence (worse than Kenshin OVAs... my friend doesn't beleive that). In one ep, you can clearly see guts as a person is slashed in half! Oh! And off screen animal killing :(

Lastly, it's for mature for the storyline. It IS a quite deep storyline when you get through the whole thing. Sort of weird... but yeah. But still VERY VERY violent! And yet... the violence actually has meaning with the story, so it's "killing for a reason" in a sense...
