I don't think this is being talked about anywhere else on here, but if it is, feel free to lock this thread. I was just wondering if anyone besides me, has picked up the anime Spiral? It's new, just streeted on tuesday, but I love it! I think it's awesome! Kinda like an anime version of the X-files, without all that occult crap. I was really impressed with Funimation's release of it too. It is the FIRST anime I've ever seen period without any cussing!! It's great!

I saw this one. I tried to enjoy it but it just bored and confused me. Left me with a lot of unanswered questions.

Humm interesting... >_> I've seen only the sub and it had some cussing but not too much. This anime has little violence (a few people die) and no fanservice as far as I can remember so it is pretty clean.
It does have an ending like Fruits Basket though where nothing is really solved at the end...
It's still a fun show (one of my favorites, and it's neat to try and solve the riddles and puzzles along with the characters). Even rewatching it is fun.
I think there are 26 episdoes in the anime, and the animation is sometimes really crisp and sometimes dirt bad which is annoying. -_- Overall though I would recommend it. Try listening to the sub voices if you haven't already, the voice for Ayame is awesome!

This is a show that I watched a long time ago and was excited about the English release. For the most part, I was happy with Funimation's treatment of Spiral as far as keeping the original op\ed and having everything untouched in the translations. The dubbing was pretty good, except for some of the voices that sounded weird in comparison to the Japanese VA (Eyes was somewhat exaggerated with his accent.) I just bought the box a couple days ago and I can't wait to collect the DVDs.
Now that I think about it, Spiral does seem a lot like the X-Files in the sense that it teases you with a lot of mystery and intrigue. Of course the ending was a big tease too, but that's assuming you've read the entire manga (of which is only available through scanlations.)
