I just watched the first episode of that anime and.... WOUHA!!! :wow!:
I just can't wait to see the what's happening next... great animation, music, looks like the story will develop in an awesome way :thumb:
Has anyone else seen it?

I've seen the first couple of episodes. It has potential, but...if there's a story it doesn't seem to develop until much later. Mostly it's a lot of angsty goth stuff.

I haven't seen it yet, though I have read about it in Newtype. I agree with Technomancer, it looks like it has potential. Is it available on DVD? If so, my favorite rental place will have it and I can go check it out.

Yes, it is available on DVD.

Man, I've been dying to see this! However, being about witches, I was reluctant. (Well, actually because I doubt if my dad would let me watch it, seeing how strongly he is against Harry Potter.) How is it content-wise? And even though they're hunting witches, it seems that the hero is also a "good" witch. Is it ok from a Christian perspective?

Caught 20 minutes of an episode in the middle of the series on CN last night. I was kinda confused, but it looks like an anime I might like. I'll have to see it from the beginning to know for sure though.

In my time zone it starts at 1:30 (MT). So I'd assume 12:30 ET/PT. Not sure though, check your local listings...always wanted to say that. :P
Right before Inuyasha, if that helps.

I've seen eps. 2,3 and 4. I missed the first because the ad said it started on the 16th, so I tune in on the 16th, and it's ep. 2. It turns out, due to the differing time zone, their 16th was my 15th. If you want, you can look it up on adultswim.com (don't know how to link) and they'll have the info. I like it, but think the voice actors could be much better than they've been. Great art though. I have a feeling this is going to be about prejudice in the end...

Actually, it starts at 12:00 midnight Eastern. InuYasha starts at 12:30.

ive seen ep 1-3
and i really enjoyed it so far ... i think that the green liquid comes from the blood of witches. and that prejudice theory could be true but doesnt really seem to go a lot with the tone of the first episodes to me.

What all is it about????

Check out http://www.witchhunteronline.com, it'll give you all sorts of info. The short of it is that they suppose an earth where 'witches' are essentially mutants (think X-Men) with special powers, passed genetically. But they're often dangerous to normal humans, so this group, the STN-J, hunts them down in response to crimes that they commit (which tend to be unsolvable by normal means). Robin, a 15-year-old girl who was raised in a convent, is their newest member, replacing one who was killed 6 months ago. Interestingly, she has her own 'witch'-like power: she can create fire. Things pick up from there.

It's an excellent fansite that also provides plenty of information.

I've seen the first 4 Witch Hunter Robin episodes...
My opinions are:
It's really good, but... (theres always a but)
There's that begining thing that talks about the coven blah blah...
Anyways, I just DO NOT like hearing about covens.
That's just me.

It's pretty cool. But I don't like how all of the cool people die in the beginning :mutter:

Sasuki I think you are mistaken. There is an episode where it apears most of the main characters have died. I was pretty bummed to. But as soon as I saw the the next episode I saw how the story is going to develop from that event.

Yes I love Witch Hunter Robin! Only bad thing, well, there witches. But I like almost everything else about it.

What is a coven?

A coven is (to my knowledge) a group of witches that do whatever it is that witches do.

I've been watching it and it seems like the wiches are more like mutants than supernatural witches, being born with their powers and whatnot. People have labeled them witches almost out of fear, and the witches have taken on some of the labels that witches uses, like the coven.

I am way off base or what?

No, that's kinda the way I see it to, though I have only seen the first twelve episodes! I really thought it was kinda boring at first, being very victim-of-the-week like many animes start off to be. But after seeing these first 12 episodes, I can't wait to see the rest!
