To me I don't mind the dubbing or any name changes. As long as I get to see the show. Though others may view differently.

I'm always either really impressed with dubs, or SEVERELY disappointed. There's no middle ground.
I like dubs...if they're REALLY good. Examples are Mahoromatic, Ranma, and Those Who Hunt Elves. Where the people have good voices and are actually INTELLIGENT enough to pronounce Japanese names correctly.
Bad dubbing is Fushigi Yugi and Sailor Moon. I HATE it when the translators change names. This either expresses a desire to "dumb it down" for American audiences, or because the voice actors are TOO STUPID to realize how to pronounce Japanese names. Let's see...the butchering of "Ayame" in Fruits Basket comes to mind, as well as the voice actress of Choko in Arc the Lad for PS2 (pronouncing it like you would say "chocolate").

To be honest, when I watched the dubbed version of Fruits Basket, I thought Ayame's name was spelled:
Eiyami
Because that's how they pronounced it.

I think the dubbing of case closed on CN has bad voices, they sound really fake.....

Oh man I HATE that. First of all, I'd like to see the real plotline of it, not the re-written G-rated version. That's just dumb. Also, the name tihs is one of my pet peeves. It reminds me of this girl in knew in middle school who pronouced everything in her own made up way, and even if someone who spoke Japanese were too tell her she was saying it wrong she would get mad and say "You say to-mate-to, I say to-mo-to." Well, fine, but that's kinda like saying, "I know its pronouced 'cat', but it SHOULD be pronouced 'cote' so I'm going to say it that way!"

I actually liked the dub. Edward's voice was good, if a little common. I think that Alphonse's voice fits, as they're implying that he hasn't really aged since the incident. Wonderful show, regardless of the dubbing. I'm going to watch it every week! ^^

I've watched the first episode of FMA last night. Quite honestly I didn't mind the dubbed voice. A bit kiddy, but their both 13 and 14 yrs old. Overall, it wasn't as bad as everyone was making it out to be.

I liked Elric's voice, actually. Al's voice seemed a little young for a 14-year-old, but I guess if you have no body, your voice can't change. The dub didn't bother me.

lol, the dub didn't bother me either, though I didn't see the original, so I guess my voice doesn't count...XDD

I saw the first 3 eps. last year at my first anime convention Ushicon. I mean subs are alright, but sometimes when I come home from a long days work, I just don't feel like straining my eyes reading subtitles
. BUt hey, everyone has their own opinions. To me it really doesn't matter; subs or dubs as long as i get to see it.

I actually like the voices. This is a first for me, as I normally want to hurt FUNi after watching one of their dubs.
Voices: +1
Lines: - .5
Lust's voice: +1 (I really liked it for some reason)
Presentation: - .5 (Why was the beginning in the credits?)
