I know, I know, I'm a bad girl, spoiling the OVA...heh.

But I want to know before I watch it (sometimes I get like this)...what happens to Tomoe? I keep hearing all this stuff and want to know what really happens...

Doesn't she die?

[spoiler]She dies. Kenshin kills her.[/spoiler].

Why in the world would he do that?

If I understand correctly (I haven't seen it) it was by accident.

[SPOILER]If I remember correctly, Kenshin is about to be defeated by a powerful enemy. Tomoe jumps in the way and grabs him, sacrificing herself and giving Kenshin time to attack. Kenshin unwittingly slices both through her and the enemy.[/SPOILER]

[spoiler]He had lost all sense except for smell, due to some sort of ninja poisoning. He didn't know Tomoe was there. When he slashed, he killed both her and the ninja.[/spoiler].

That's terrible! Poor Kenshin...

[spoiler] I used to think he almost did it on purporse because he said something like "I'm sorry Tomoe, I can't protect you anymore. So it was by accident that he killed her, yet it wasn't. *shrugs* Haven't seen the OVAs in a looooong time :/ [/spoiler]

I really doubt it was on purpose because...

I saw a picture of him sobbing and holding Tomoe to his chest...she was obviously dead as there was blood on her face. Maybe he said that because he didn't know where she was and didn't know where to strike or something, but I don't think it was on purpose...
