CAA: Christian Anime Alliance

Unless I missed something, I noticed this board doesn't have a "look here to purchase this anime/manga/movie" section.
I know youguys aren't down with pirating and that's cool, but I WOULD like to know where ya'll are finding this stuff. Amazon seems to have the best prices for most contemporary titles, but a lot of pre-90s stuff that never made it to CN, WB Kids or Fox Kids can be awful hard to find.

My point?

Does ANYBODY know where I can pick of ANY version of "The Wonderful Adventure of Honey-Honey" ("Honey Honey no Sutekina Bouken")?

It was originally a 26ep series in 1981 but the only known English version is a (rather ameteur) dub of a "movie" (actually all 26eps clipped and compressed into a 1.5hr OVA) that was released in the US around 1984. Enoki film put it out and I've contacted them but um...they don't sell the things anymore. It's been out of print a LOUNG time but I remember renting it from the video store as a kid once we bought a VCR so there's GOT to be an old copy flying around SOMEwhere...

If anyone has an extra copy they'd be willing to part with or knows where I can buy one myself, there will be much grattitude! ^^;

I was fortunate that the guy who owns the hobby shop near me (the same hobby shop I have gone to since I was 10) is really into anime. He has his own library in the stor. Though he is selling most of it off now, he used to let me and any one else he trusted borrow anything we wanted.

That’s how I was able to watch a lot of stuff that wasn’t on TV. I’m not positive where he got it all from. Some of it was fansub, but some of it was actual releases.

Anyway, I will be sure to keep an eye out for "The Wonderful Adventure of Honey-Honey."

Fry's has a lot of anime, although they tend to cater to current titles. I've never heard of that series myself ...

^_^ Im glad, but it said it was only 23min. So it doesnt sound like it is ALL of what you are looking for.

Atleast now I have an idea if I am on the right track or not. I will continue to keep my eyes open for you.

It originall consisted of 29 half hour episodes. Some come individually packaged and I'm guessing this is one of them. ::shrug::
