Just wondering, how come there are so few anime reviews in the anime review section? Are they really hard to write and get approved? I was a little disappointed when I found that there was only one page (or are there more and I just missed the 'next' button?).
Either way, what are some cool series with ample amounts of action? I've already seen all of Trigun, Kenshin, DBZ, and Nadesico and I'm looking for something clean and fast to watch in my free time. Thanks!

People just need to take the time to write a review. I'm not sure why there aren't more, but there is a thread for review requests if there is something you're interested in.
As for action recommendations. Anything from the Macross series is probably good, but Macross Plus has a good deal of fan service. Jubei-chan is a good mix of comedy and action, check out the review on that one. Check out Record of Lodoss War if you're interested in the fantasy genre with Knights and Dragons and stuff. A personal favorite of mine is Ranma 1/2, but it's more of a romantic comedy with martial arts thrown in. Check out the review first though, some parts are questionable in it.

I highly recommend Big O. it's a mecha action show with a little comedy and romance thrown in. the constant 'memories' talk can be confusing (and pretentious) at times, but it's a minor issue.
You could also try Naruto (available on fansub and manga). A lot of great action, HUGE but well-developed cast, exciting story, engaging characters; on top of that you get a lot of great themes like hard work, determination, loyalty, and patriotism. A bad aspect is some foul language (the occasional 's' word, and a lot of 'd' words thrown around).

I just checked out the review page. It may only be one page, but there are 70 reviews on it. I don't think that's too shabby considering is was much less when I first joined in February.

It takes them awhile to get approved.

I thought we had alot of reviews. (There's a TON more of them than there were when I joined six months ago) So, um, great job mods!
And if we think there should be more review, let's all write one! I just finished my first review--- so, um, I need to go submit that. * wanders off *

question: can we write reviews of fansubbed anime? I'd really like to write a Gunslinger Girl review. (it's licensed now, but not yet released, btw)

I think it's better to write one for the official release. As a consumer I'd like to know that the review I'm reading is for the same thing I'm buying on the legitimate market.

good idea, since I plan on buying the discs as soon as they hit stores anyway

Yes, I think I can speak for Gypsy here too in that we would prefer reviews of officially licensed anime because that's what most people will be purchasing/watching.
I'm going to redirect comments into our original review requests thread:
