There's a lot of language from Kyo still...a little from Haru and Uo...so yeah, it gets a little bit worse. For an overall rating, I think there's a review of it in the Anime Reviews section.
Ah, here it is: http://christiananime.net/reviews.php?display=24

yeah I'd agree the language got a bit worse when haru entered the scene but only when he goes black, and kyo still curses plenty.

Yea the cursing is a bit bad from Kyo Uo and Haru . . . but it never gets as bad as using the sh word or the f word or such like that . . .
I guess you could call them 'minor curses'?
I don't think it gets TOO much worse from whats on the first DVD, pretty much the same . . . Ive watched the whole series several times ^^

there is a scene in the thrid DVD where one of the character's co-workers curses but from what i heard the words are bleeped in both the english and japanese tracks, but the character was trying to discribe a dress, its quite a funny scene though

That's actually Episode 20, in the fourth DVD. I actually didn't think they were cursing, but that they were bleeping out the fabrics and types of dresses they were talking about so as not to reveal company secrets. If they were using curse words, then their conversation makes no sense whatsoever...
But no, the language in the show typically is just "d---","h---", although sometimes the two offensive "b" words will pop up. I actually think that the English dub is worse than the original Japanese when it comes to profanity.

*points up to sman's post*
Yes yes, Ayame and his co worker were discussing dresses, if you put on the subtitles it says it. The beepeing was weird and funny though how they were trying to hide it, lol.

yup, yup. I just got the 3rd and 4th dvds last night for my b-day and I am SOOO happy! ^_^
but since there are so many good themes, the cursing can be overlooked.

The dvd's I have are fansubs. I found that I don't notice the cursing as much with subtitles. I just skip over them.

*Points to Little Momo* i was going to say what language? Although i watched Fruits Basket as fansubs waaay before licensing and have become more callous to mild-moderate language, it's also easier to ignore with subs.

There is next to no language except for a few minor, and I mean minor, like d... or h... used by Kyo and Haru and such..... Very good anime I would reccomend to anyone! ^_^

Yeah, the cursing is pretty bad but it didn't bug me that much because I guess it just kind of showed Kyo & Ou's character, as while as showing the drastic differance between Black Haru and White Haru. But thats just IMO.

I think the swearing is just to get the nature of the cahracter about. Kyo is hot-headed, Black Haru is...Black Haru, and Uo had a bit of a bad background. It can be overlooked though, because Furuba is such a sweet anime, and Tohru really is an admirable character
