hello, I was just wondering something about 2 animes.
gasaraki-is it clean, does it have magic in it(i saw sparkly stuff on an amv that looked like it was magic or something), and is it actualy worth buying?(i have heard from some it is boring and from others it is great)
Last exile- Is there any magic in it? (I also saw something on an amv that looked magicy on it)

I've only seen the first four episodes of last exile but so far there is nothing remotely magical and its really good. Never herd of gasaraki...

From teh story line of Last Exile, I can't image there would be magic. . .

I know Gasaraki has some Shinto stuff... (Shinto is a religion practiced in Japan). But I haven't seen it so I can't be too sure how bad it is. This is one I've been kind of interested in myself, if memory serves me correctly, Gasaraki was made by the creators of Gundam.

Sunrise made Gasaraki, and there isn't anything really magical in it, but then again, you could say there is. I can't really say without spoiling the ending. Like Azier said, there is some stuff in it that is probably shinto (I don't really know about much about the religion). It's also creepy in places and pretty violent in others. It's not necessarily boring, but its slow pace makes you think a lot more than most other anime. You can usually get the boxed set pretty cheap (around $30 for all 8 discs), but I can't guarantee that you'll like it.
I need to do a review on this series, huh?

Thirty bucks? From what I understand, the suggested retail price is about $109.98, the cheapest that you can find it, (as far as I know) is $63.21

Yeah, if it's that cheap you can pretty much bank on it being bootlegged.

All the veviews I just read were very dismal. Thirty bucks isn't much for anime, but it's way too much to spend on bad anime. Research more. This guy sells lots of stuff on ebay. He'll relist it or have another one-- probably.

No, I got the official box set for $40 from Right Stuf, an anime company themselves (they released Comic Party in the U.S., among other anime). I got it on sale (Weekly specials), but the box set is now regularly on sale there for $30.
And yes, most reviews of Gasaraki are bad. Anime on DVD, however, gives it a positive review overall, if I remember correctly.
