Tenshi no Ai wrote: I'm just going nuts with the prices... of course, no retailer seems to have in the Sailor Moon S and SS boxsets, so I hope I can get ahold of those somehow...
Gypsy wrote:Have you tried Best Buy? I seem to remember the SS boxed set last time I was in my local store, so they must have them in stock elsewhere, since my Best Buy is low on the anime food chain.

Tenshi no Ai wrote:If Best Buy had a chain OUTSIDE of the US, then maybe I would.

Escaflowne boxset: Oct 26
Fruits Basket boxset: Nov 9
Ledi wrote:You could probably get the boxsets for very cheap off of eBay. I purchased the .hack//SIGN boxset for $20 and I'm thinking about getting the Trigun for about the same price.

Bobtheduck wrote:Most likely, not necissarily... Check the official disc count, and the disc count of your set... That's a good way to tell. I got a legit nadescio set off half.com. You just gotta ask the disc count before you buy. If they say "oh, it's a 4 disc set" and the official set has 6 (like in Nadesico), then it's a bootleg set. The thing is, the HK bootlegs usually try to cram more eps onto one disc. Now, this doesn't stop them from selling copied DVD's, however you can usually tell if its a home job, and then file a claim against them for selling you something other than what they promised, perhaps getting them arrested for selling copies in the first place.
