I will post about the chat pretty soon here one way or the other. It will either be Sunday afternoon or the following weekend. But in the meantime, to hopefully recharge the Sakura/CLAMP Fan Club with some July energy, here is this month's trivia contest! This month's theme is "CLAMP Heroines". PM me with your answers to the questions. All entries are due by two weeks from today, that is, July 22. I'll announce this month's card once I get a chance to talk to Kokoro. Any card requests?

i went to the mall yesterday and i saw xholic volume 2.
did it come out early? i thought it would be later that it would come out^^

Wow! That's awesome, Hikari! Thanks for the heads-up! Yeah, I thought it was supposed to come out later too. Now I'll have to keep an eye out for Tsubasa volume 2 as well!

Oh yeah, there won't be a Sakura Chat tomorrow. I'm going to try for next weekend!

I would like to make an apology to the people here. The last post I made was actually the work of my cousin. She somehow got onto my acount(that's the last time I leave the program open) and decided to take advantage of it. She doesn't want to wait until she's thirteen to join

Yeah, I just saw XXXHolic volume 2 in Borders today. Looks interesting, I haven't bought it yet but I will. I'm more a Tsubasa fan, so much so that I bought the next two volumes of that in Japanese! I'm still going to buy Tsubasa Vol.'s 2 and 3 in English as well, when they come out. I can't wait! :jump:

I'm glad everyone is happy with the selection of the Dash card. My only question is, what kind of animal IS Dash? Good luck in cathing it, everyone! ^_^

Yes, I highly recommend Tsubasa. The art is wonderful, there are a lot of characters that CLAMP and non-CLAMP fans alike will enjoy, and the story deals with dimension-hopping with a fantasy-esque feel. It's really a great manga! Glitch, if you're interested in knowing more about CLAMP or just want to talk CLAMP, feel free to join the Fan Club. All you have to do is ask!

Tsubasa is entirely fun for people who do know CLAMP's stuff. ^_^ I was dying laughing over most of the manga and remembering what I knew of each character. Tsubasa has the makings to be my fave CLAMP thing besides CCS, which introduced me to CLAMP and is cute and awesome beyond compare. :sweat:

*cough hack* Eventually, I'm going to get around to Tsubasa. Are they planning on making an anime form, or is it gonig to stay manga? (ARGH! I GIVE UP! "Going" is now spelt "gonig"! I did it twice!)

nvm about ccs, i figured it out,

and i would choose tsubasa, because its the only one ive read/reading!

btw does anyone know how to prounounce it?

Welcome to the Sakura/CLAMP Fan Club, Glitch! Feel free to post a banner in your sig, but no Clow Cards, please (you can win those through the monthly trivia contests we have!).

People will have varying opinions on this, AngelSakura, but I would recommend Tsubasa Reservoir Chronicle. Actually, that and XXXHolic cross over in their storylines, but you don't need to read both to understand either one. You can just choose one if you'd like. Tsubasa is more fantasy oriented, with a focus on a quest by heroes to save a princess. XXXHolic is more realistic, while still having magic elements, and deals more with human drama--a witch who grants peoples' wishes...for a price. XXXHolic is also darker than Tsubasa, in my opinion. Kirastill, the two titles are still fairly new, but Vol.'s 1 and 2 of XXXHolic and Vol. 1 of Tsubasa are available in bookstores right now. If you have any interest in them after my brief descriptions above, I'd recommend you give them a try, or at least peruse them in the bookstore to see if they are to your liking. As with any CLAMP title, the strorytelling is solid and the art is exceptional.

Glitch, I just pronounce Tsubasa Reservoir Chronicle exactly as it's written, ignoring the capitals.

Yeah, for the trivia contest, you need to get all 5 correct to win the card (Dash for this month). So if you have guesses for all 5 PM me. (You can PM me with fewer than 5 answers if you want, and I'll let you know if you got them right, but you won't be eligible to win.)

Good question about the series in Japan. I know Tsubasa is out through vol. 3 in Japanese (I own vol.'s 2 and 3), and I think vol. 4 is out. As far as XXXHolic and the rest of Tsubasa are concerned, I'm not sure. Anyone else know?
