Best Bishoujo Contest Round 2!!

The real heart of CAA; discuss specific series, issues, and things related to anime here.

Postby Mangafanatic » Sat May 08, 2004 7:53 pm

*Mangafanatic sets up a HUGE wrestling ring over which is a sign reading"The Rei vs. Kaoru match". She sets up a booth for bets*

Mangafanatic: Alright people, I'm accepting bets right now. *People stampede manga's booth and, in true anime-form, she turns into a wide-eyed chibi figure and runs away. Crowd subsides and mangafanatic returns just as the announcer enters his box and turns on his P.A.*

Announcer: Welcome to the match of the century, folks. Yes, today's battle should be spectacular. Two women, pitted against eachother for the timeless accolade of "Caa's best bishoujo." It should be-- Oh, wait, folks, it appears our first contender has arrived.

*Kaoru jumps into the ring, surrounded by spectators, and begins twirling her sword, doing gravity-defying jumps, and hair splitting combat tricks. A cloud of rose petals appear out of no where and swirl around her in perfect formation just as she strikes her sparkly eye pose.

Crowd applauds*

Announcer: That was spectacular! I have never seen such grace, such flair, such poise. Oh, I'm afraid this battle is one sided. There is nothing on earth that Rei could do to defeate such a samarai princess. Yes, this battle will truly be--

*Seemingly out of thin air, Rei materializes in an Eva and squashes sparkly-eyed Kaoru. Crowd does this O_____o, then takes up their pitch forks and chases after Mangafanatic who is escaping out of the fire escape with all their cash just to teach them that gambling is bad.*

Yes, children, this story teaches us three things. 1) we should vote for Rei--- cause Kaoru already is a co-owner of a CAA trophy 2) gambling is bad, and---um 3) morals are far more convincing in sets of three.
Every year in Uganda, innumerable children simply. . . disappear. These children all stolen under the cover of darkness from their homes and impressed into the guerilla armies of the LRA [Lord's Resistance Army]. In the deserts of Uganda, they are forced to witness the mindless slaughter of other children until they themselves can do nothing but kill. Kill. These children, generally ranging from ages 5-12, are brainwashed into murdering in the name of the resistance and into stealing other children from their beds to suffer the same fate.

Because of this genocide of innocence, hundred and hundreds of children live every night sleeping in public places miles from their homes, because they know that if the do not-- they will disappear. They will become just another number in this genocide to which the international community has chosen to turn a blind eye. They will become, in affect, invisible-- Invisible Children.

But there are those who are trying to fight against this slaughter of Uganda's children. They fight to protect these "invisible children." Please, help them help a country full of children who know nothing by fear. Help save the innocence. For more information concerning how you can help and how you can get an incredible video about this horrific reality, visit the Invisible Children home page.

Oops. Sorry, Omega. I didn't know which one to pick, Tohru or the other girl. I noticed that you had voted for Tohru, so.... *shrugs* Sorry about that.... Darn it!! I have no idea who people like! *Sigh*

As for Rei or Kaoru... I have a feeling this is gonna be one heck of a grudge match. Personally, I like Rurouni Kenshin, and Kaoru rocks. ^^

Taking Rei down will mean you'll have a VERY angry Rei Ayanami fan who has lots of high-powered weapons, like railguns. Katanas won't help you.

I got plenty of railguns. Here, take my favourite one.

The scientific method," Thomas Henry Huxley once wrote, "is nothing but the normal working of the human mind." That is to say, when the mind is working; that is to say further, when it is engaged in corrrecting its mistakes. Taking this point of view, we may conclude that science is not physics, biology, or chemistry—is not even a "subject"—but a moral imperative drawn from a larger narrative whose purpose is to give perspective, balance, and humility to learning.

[size=84][color=seagreen]YOU SEE

You see into the deepest part of me ---

beyond the fog I hide behind.

You cast your light upon the shadows

that stretch like cobwebs in my mind.

You ease the pain when I am hurting,

and morbid visions from my past

pierce into the realm of Reason

as though I danced on blades of glass.

You grant me strength when I have fallen

and, once again, I've lost my way.

You take my hand in Yours and lead me

into the promise of a brand new day.

You bring order to all my chaos,

yet set my well-laid plans awry.

You place me on a firm foundation ---

then give me wings so I can fly.

You sand away my roughened edges

and polish all the dullest parts

until I stand before Your presence...

a newly-sculpted work of art.

You see into the heart within me,

right through my motives and selfish will.

And yet, in spite of all You see

You say You love me even still.

::Hitokiri's eyes swirls::

What have I done??

Anyways, a message from your fellow Hitokiri:

I might decide to end this entire thing and pit Kaoru vs Rei together...then the Tohru fans and err...Asuka fans (just me  ) might get mad.

Kidding. (im seriously kidding.)

Also, you can count the votes but if possible, please don't broadcast them cause that may cause a sway in the voting (ever heard of conformity?) Also, if thier is a tampering of the votes, I will disqualify your ballot (but now would do that of course, right?)

I still have some more counting to do..im going to do the bulk of it tommorow. i'm very tired as of right now.

So keep voting :) Also I encourage to have silly randomness, showing support for your favorite bishoujo, and any other talk cause it lightens me coutning the votes and it also shows how much you guys like this contest. It really makes me happy to see people show support for something like this cause i put in alot of time and effort in doing this :)

thanks and keep on voting.

Technomancer, I believe the rules are - we'd need to ask Hitokiri to be sure, however - is that if you don't vote on all groups, then your vote is dismissed. And that would be sad, since you voted for Rei. ^_^ So please vote for group 7.

Okay, I suppose Hitokiri doesn't mind the random battles and such. *pulls up a chair next to Hitokiri and watches the fireworks*

Chloe: Wowzers, this is more fun than attending a Republican convention with Al Franken.

*passes out some more cookies to the Rei fans, and also hands them to the Saki and Iria fans*

Go IRIA!!!

*Shoo and Gypsy take some cookies back to the Iria headquarters*

*Elric_kun takes a break from battle to munch on the plate of cookies set aside for Saki voters*

^_^
