Anime is not really known for being realistically drawn. In fact, it's supposed to be exaggerated. That's what makes it interesting to look at, funny, wonderful and sometimes beautiful (I mean, come on, people don't have eyes that big in real life, why should breasts or anything else on the characters have to be "realistically proportional"?). Good anime (sadly, not all) mostly focuses on story and character personality as being more realistic than the realistic accuracy of the art.
Not that the art issue is out of the way, I'm not cool with women only being treated as objects and not people. Though, it's a sad reality in the real world. So, that is "realistic" in a way.
^^ I agree with this post. XD!
So I guess what I'll say is for certain, I don't like fanservice. No one can blame me for that right? So, I just don't like it when bosoms (in general, big or small) are portrayed in a fanservice-y way. If a woman has a large chest in general, it doesn't really mean that they are playing it for fanservice ALL THE TIME. I agree, I know a few women out there who do have large chests, and that's just the way they look. No problem. I just don't like it if a woman is used for her body as an object for fanservice. It's sad to me...and I'm certain that it happens to guys too. So, I guess I just don't like fanservice-large-chests, not non-fanservice-large-chests if that makes any sense.) I'm seriously thinking I should change my vote...but then again, I wouldn't know where to put it. There's no option for, "It depends," *sighs*
Oh well, on that note I shall leave off with a random question: Is this thread really neccesary? It seems to keep stirring up trouble and the like...sometimes...I guess it's up to the mods.
EDIT: And Atria, I apologize for how this thread makes you feel.
