But, anyway, they came out with the Digimon pictures:
http://www.digimonhimitsu.com/cute_news/data/upimages/vi24020.jpg

Left:Agumon to GeoGreymon, belongs to main character
Center:Gaomon to Gaogamon, belongs to rival
Right: Lalamon to Sunflowermon, belongs to heroine
Far right: PawnChessmon, belongs to DATS, a team of two policewomen

Another anime I'll have to wait till April for...

This series sort of reminds me of whichever manga that was where they had manifestations of Digimon, so they sort of had different names (like on the X-Evolution special, with all the different types on there). I only know some of the V-Tamer manga and kinda know about Chronicles but I think they both involve some main character and a rival?

...*thinks "PawnChessmon" look too much like Heartless Knights off Kingdom Hearts*

Somehow I have a feeling it'll be some warped series and even LESS likeable than any other series shown :/ Only making a theory here... Already it's cliche enough in monster anime to know which Digimon goes to each character :/ *sigh* the girls always get the plant-types :/

Anybody thinks Laura Jill Miller will come back?
(Three packs of Chocolate pocky if anyone can tell me who she voiced!)

LJM did Kari and she now does the voice for Juniper Lee...she also does a voice of one of the Tachikomas from GITS

Also, Joshua Seth did soooooo many Voices..he is a very BIG VA (duh!) ^_^)

Who did the voice for Matt from the 1st season?

You're right! LJM was the voice of Kari and let's not forget she was also the voice of Schries on "S-Cry-Ed" (Go figure)

Matt was voiced by Michael Reisz!

Interesting note: He also voiced Takuya AND Bokomon in Season 4, and for all you Trekkies out there...::Stares at mitsuki lover:: he also played a crewman on "Star Trek: Voyager"

I thought I saw something a lone time ago about a new digimon series that was all CG.

I'm not too thrilled with the Digimon...they're kinda the same old same old. The plant one looks kinda cute, though (particularly in it's first stage), and the pawnchessmon is a fun idea..although what a mouthful.

Ugh. I'm disappointed already. It looks a lot like the first two seasons, and the digimon are a little...ugly. I liked it when they looked like either absurd machines, or real animals, not...a hybrid of the two.

LJM did Kari and she now does the voice for Juniper Lee...she also does a voice of one of the Tachikomas from GITS

Yep! AND she played Takato's schoolteacher Ms. Nami in Tamers...a little allude to Kari's dream career, methinks...

Matt was voiced by Michael Reisz!

Interesting note: He also voiced Takuya AND Bokomon in Season 4, and for all you Trekkies out there...::Stares at mitsuki lover:: he also played a crewman on "Star Trek: Voyager"

Was he? I know he played both Takuya and Matt, but BOKOMON was played by Brian Beacock, who also voiced Takato in Tamers.

So I'm not the only one who thought that was dumb? Good.

Pawnchessmon looks interesting. Sort of makes me think of Kingdom Hearts, actually.

That was a TV Special Movie called "Digimon X Evolution" that was done just over a year ago. I watched the subs of it and thought it would be amusing, but it was a yawner for me, really :/ Maybe because no humans were featured?

Interesting that they finally gave at least two grown up regulars Digimon partners in the new series.I wonder how different their relationship with the Digimon will differ from the kids'.
Check Anime News Network and you can find filmography both anime and other for the various VAs.
Joshua Seth also works under Joshua Freedman or Freeman or something like.
Michelle Ruff also worked under her mother's name Georgette Rose, etc.
I mention that since they were both on Pilot Candidate and Dual.
I wouldn't be surprised if Wendee Lee ended up in Savers.LOL!!!!:)
As one of the alt.Rikers said of the Borg in the ep. of NExt Generation where Worf slipped through realities:"They're EVERYWHERE!"or I should say:"She'sEVERYWHERE!"LOL!!!!:)

Perhaps that and that it made no sense. It was made by the original Digimon #1 directors, so that accounts for the randomness. It was so serious, too, there wasn't any room for ha-ha. Made me a little sick.

::Shrugs shoulders:: I have no clue. I've been watching Digimon from the beginning, and I STILL don't know. Maybe it makes the leader more identifiable because there are others in the group that have leadership qualities.

Besides, who's to say the next goggleboy is a boy at all? Maybe it's time to see if da' girls can rock the goggles? I mean, we've already seen the leadership skills of one gogglegirl!

Well, we now have a brief intro to the series:

The protagonist, Masaru, is a second year Junior High student, and is undefeated in battle. Although his skills with personal computers and technology are lacking, his father (now missing) is the leading authority on "Digital World" research.
He meets the Digital Monster Agumon, who has escaped from DATS (Digital Analysis and Testing Squad), a secret government organization. Despite terrible first impressions, the two become best friends by talking with their "fists".
With the other members of DATS, Masaru and Agumon work to investigate various incidents involving the Digital World and Digital Monsters, to try and get to the bottom of things...

Second year junior high? That would probably mean 8th grade, so about 13. The drawings look older than that. Hmmmm. I like the idea of a new digimon show, but I'm still not sure how I feel about where they are taking this.

Well, the ages are a step up from the previous seasons, which typically had characters that were in elementary...despite the English version messing around with character's ages.

I didn't like Tamers because of the Data draining, I'm sensitive. Especially that one scene where DarkLizardmon is in that big canister and the goverment people are draining her and she's saying, "I want to stay, Please, don't send me back, I want to stay."

I didn't like that. I always wanted to hit that goverment guy with something. I loved Impmon and Beelzemon.

yay! Digimon is back!what channel will it be on and what time?

Assuming you're refering to it's American timeslot, I'm sorry to say there isn't one. The series hasn't even begun airing in Japan yet and even then will take some months before it gets here. Chances are it will be airing on Toon Disney+ABC Family like the previous Digimon series' have once it is obtained.

Also more news!

Digimon Savers has been officially scheduled to air on Fuji TV in Japan starting April 2nd. The Characters go as follows:

Main Character: DAIMON Masaru (Junior High Student)
Rival: Tooma H Norushutein [Tooma/Thoma/Tomah H. Norshtein] (Aged 14)
Heroine: FUJIEDA Yoshino (Older then Masaru and Tooma)

Agumon appears in Episode 1.
Rival and Gaomon appear in Episode 2
Perfect Level appears in July.

Also for those curious, Masaru and Yoshino are their given names. Tooma appears to be from another country considering his name.

Yeah, how so? It hasn't even come out yet and you're already judging it?

I didn't like Tamers because of the Data draining, I'm sensitive. Especially that one scene where DarkLizardmon is in that big canister and the goverment people are draining her and she's saying, "I want to stay, Please, don't send me back, I want to stay."

I didn't like that. I always wanted to hit that goverment guy with something. I loved Impmon and Beelzemon.

I LOVED Tamers because of that. The whole thing had more interaction with the Digimon and the humans, and not just the kids. It put in a whole nother level of complexity than the first two had.

To expand on the character information:
Daimon Masaru: A Junior High student who loves to fight. When he meets someone that looks strong, he can't help but challenge them. Agumon becomes his Partner after the two do battle, and because of his latent powers which can help Agumon evolve, he is recruited into DATS.

Tohma H. Norstein: A 14 year old child genius who has already graduated university. He is considered elite, even within DATS. He bases his actions on data and theoretical principals, causing his personality to clash with Masaru's. His mother is Japanese, and his father is a prominent Australian aristocrat. His partner is Gaomon.

Fujieda Yoshino: The crimson point of Masaru's team. She is older than the 2 boys, and acts like their big sister. She is shrewd, respectful, considers it her job to push Masaru and Tohma, and has a strong trust in her companions. Her favorite phrase is "palanquin set with jewels", which is a woman that has married into wealth. Her partner is Lalamon.

DATS: A secret government organization dedicated to investigating digital phenomena.

Commander Satsuma: A leader within DATS.

DATS Officers: There are two female officers of DATS, with Pawn Chessmon (Black and White) as their partners.

Digimon

Agumon: Masaru's Partner Digimon. He adores Masaru, and looks up to him like an older brother, trying to be like him. His special technique, Baby Flame, is to spit flames from his mouth, and he can evolve into Geo Greymon by recieving Masaru's Digisoul.

Gaomon: Tohma's Partner Digimon, who calls him "master" and follows him without question. An Elite Digimon, like his partner, Gaomon is both cool and intellectual, and he evolves into Gaogamon.

Lalamon: Yoshino's Plant Type Partner Digimon. She excels at human to Digimon relationships, and is reliable and closley tied to friends. Her special technique is Nut Shoot, and she can evolve into Sunflowmon.

Pawn Chessmon (Black)
Pawn Chessmon (White)

Taken from the With the Will forums.

Sounds more like Tamers like me.
