Samurai X Trust and Betrayal (while bloody) has some great fights! Also, Gunslinger Girl has some good action. The fight between two of the main chars in Escaflowne near the end is pretty dang sweet also!

xD well...since everyone else is joining the grave-digging:

- Haruka vs. Raikou (Tactics): Pure, unadulterated psycho vs. psycho.
- Kantarou and Haruka vs. Edwards (Tactics): Because Edwards flicking Haruka in the nose is just too good to pass up.
- Loki vs. Heimdall (Matantei Loki Ragnarok): Their manga duel was like...the best. =O EVER.
- Loki vs. Narugami-kun: Best fight scene in the anime. Actiony lightning bokken, wooden scythe swinging awesomeness.
- Anissina vs. Yuki-Gunter (Kyou Kara Maou!): ...xD *insert spoilers here* Let's just say this one ends with a small child proclaiming that Gunter sucks.
- Spike vs. Vicious (from the 5th ep. of Cowboy Bebop): Better than the fight in the last ep. Why? ToT Because this fight includes THE COOLEST Vicious quote ever. ("Devils are just angels that were forced from heaven.")

Luffy vs. Don Krieg.
The way Luffy finally beats him is great, even though it takes both of them like five minutes to finish falling.

The battle against Infermon/Diaboromon in Digimon the Movie. May sound wierd, but I still really love that scene, even before Omnimon appears and blows the crap out of everything.

Is that a manga thing? Because in the anime, Vash never fights anyone named "Diablo". There is an episode titled Diablo, but he fights Monev the Gale in that one.

And it is Monev that calls Vash "the Diablo." One of the best Trigun eps IMNSHO. It was the last episode I would see in four years, before I would see the rest of the series.

Vash vs. Knives is pretty good, though I wish there was more of the real gun action.

And while it is not in any anime (yet!) I keep imagining an awesome fight scene between Super Tomkyou vs. Evil Yuki.

I liked the action in Samurai 7, but nobody has mentioned it yet. It has some unrealistic angles (and giant ships cut in half with katana), but it's still incredibly cool.

I'd bet Impact Alberto would like it.

xD If the ship is anywhere near the size of Jupiter, I'm sure Impact will love it.

A lot of people don't realize that things getting cut in half is GOOD.
And I know Koko has seen Jupiter-cut. ; )

((By the way, we're talking about Getter Robo: Armageddon, where in the final episode Ryoma manages to CUT Jupiter in HALF.))

I suppose...eh, my most favorite battle is the final fight between the Sanzo party and "Kami-Sama" in Saiyuki.

Definitely the Cowboy Bebop and Samurai Champloo scenes that have been talked about already but I also really like this one fight in Noir where Kirika and Chloe were fighting a bunch of random mafia-type guys that kept coming at them. The action was so fluid...like poetry in motion.

The Shiro/Norris fight was awesome. When he ripped off his own suit's arm and starting beating Norris' Zaku I was just like....:wow!: Shiro's second fight in the jungle was pretty cool as was when Terry fought off the Apsalus.

Cowboy Bebop the fight between Spike, Red Dragon goons, and Vicious obviously in Ballad of Fallen Angels. When Spike takes on those thugs in Jupiter Jazz Part 1. When Spike fights Mad Pierrot in Pierott Le Fou. And of course the final battle between Spike and Vicious in The Real Folk Blues Part 2.

Macross Plus when Guld and Isamu are fighting in the mock training city.

Jin and Mugen fighting in the first episode of Samurai Champloo

G Gundam was a bit cheesy at times (DBZ and Gundam make an interesting combo) but its fights where cool. Nothing like seeing a Gundam's head explode under Domons shining finger or Burning finger.

Hands down any fight from Rouruni Kenshin is awesome. I particularly like the fight at the begining of Samurai X Trust and Betrayal. And the fight between Kenshin and his master as others have said.

Mezzo had an awesome fight in the first episode. Mikura was spin kicking and getin baddies with her .45 Cals at the same time. Awesome.

Gunslinger Girl has some slick fights too. Gundam Seed and Gundam Wing had some pretty good ones too.

This thread is devoted to one thing, fights. Discuss your favourite battle scenes.

Even I'll admit, I got into anime because I saw lots of fighting action... now, I've grown out of that, but I still love all of the horrible things like Fist Of The North Star and Dragonball Z...X_X

Anyway, just tell us about your favourite fights.

Trigun, and Project arms both have some awesome fight scenes

Oh yeah, tha's pretty cool. "within this hand of mine glows an awesome power. It's burning grip tells me to defeat you! SHINING FINIGER!!!!" lol

I thought the part on G gundam where Domon fights what he believes to be the Dark Gundam was pretty cool. (ep. 6)

Even though it looks old and dated by today's standards, I still think the fight between Scout and the Invid Prince dude on the second-to-last and last episode of Robotech was pretty darn cool. For such an old series, it was a pretty well-choreographed fight.
And the battle that ensued around that fight was pretty awesome, too. It just had a kind of crappy ending.
That's all I can think of roght now
