Oh a question about the pics: are the same people who did .hack//sign doing Tsubasa?

From my knowledge it is Bee Train that is doing it, I think they did .Hack but i'm not to sure >.< I know they did Noir and Madlax though. Don't qoute me on that cause i'm not too sure about if it really is Bee Train. >.>

One last thing: the quiz- how am i supposed to anwer it?

You pm spiritsword with your answers.

Well, I'll be quiet now and see if i can find that American release date

The Tsubasa anime prolly won't be realised in America for awhile, sence it just aired in Japan not to long ago. I can pm you the link to a site where you can download it if you want?

Alright, I'm off a REALLY to a bad start here. Tsubasa IS scheduled to be released in July... IN JAPAN!!!! :bang: I put a thread a few weeeks ago asking about it and Mangafanatic said July. Where i messed up was i missed that she was confirming somebody who said they did not think it was out in Japan yet. Hope i did not cause any confusion.

its definatly out in april, seems they have updated the site so that it doesnt say the launch date anymore, but here is the japanese site
http://www3.nhk.or.jp/anime/tsubasa/

im not SURE that the people who did .hack//sign are the same people who are doing tsubasa, but the music sounds almost exactly the same

Welcome to the club Sparrowhawk. I'd be glad to help you out with your computer issues. Allow me to give you a few pointers, if you will accept them.

First, long posts are OK, but break up the text. Most people do not like to take the time to read an entire paragrapgh. It's lazy, I know, but many see a block of text like that and won't bother reading it.

Instead, break out ideas in the post by inserting blank lines between them as I am doing here.

This will help others digest your post and answer your questions.

Second, you did indeed spell Mimiru correctly.

Finally, if you have a picture you'd like to use as an avatar, I would be happy to alter it so it will fit the size requirememtns for an avatar. Give me a PM if I can be of service.

Again, welcome to the club and enjoy yourself!

Thanks for the correction glitch 1501 and for the welcome termyt. I was just wondering, is it ok if i ask about CLAMP manga already out for like recomendations? I'm going to hope so right now anyways.

I was wondering what type of story MKR was. What's it about? The only thing i know about it is Mokona is in it. I'm thinking about buying it (it seemes based on how much i hear about it here, that it is one of CLAMP's best manga). So anyone want to voice their opinions on it?

Secondly, time for another newbie question(sorry! ). CAA is the first place i've used forums (in fact i did not know what they were before this place). How do i get pics on here? Is there a rule about where i can get them from (like am i allowed to copy and paste them onto a reply thread?) Sorry if any of these questions are obvious.

^__^:jump: welcome to the club!! Well, if you want to know about MKR, it's a really good manga, very interesting. MAJOR SPOILERS!

Any ways, it's about 3 average girls in Japan that one day went to the Tokyo tower, and were magically summoned to another worlk called Cephiro(sp)..There they found out that their duty is to become the magic knights, and fight the princess of the country, the one who summoned them. They were given Mokona to aid them, though they had no idea what he did. They went through a series of trials, fought enemies, etc. to discover that the princess fell in love, so she could not be completely devoted to her country, that's why she summoned the magic knights, to destroy her. The girls fought with her, a very hard battle, with their awesome fighting mecha, and in the end killed the princess and her lover. They were send back to their world. the end. I know that's not a very good summary, but I forgot alot about the series. I've recently read MKR II, and it is also very good, if not somewhat....strange, like a bunch of stories just pieced together.

Anyways, if you want to attach pictures, go to "go advanced" at the bottom instead of the short reply, and right below the bunch of clickable smilies, you see additional options. One of the additional options should be "Attach Files" that should be in blue (atleast on mine) and below that is a button that says "Manage Attachments" click on that, and you should be able to browse your computer for the picture that you want to upload.
If you want to insert an image on the internet with a www adress, go the the buttons above the message box, click on the button that looks like two mountains with a yellow bg, and a square in the upper right corner. Hover your mouse over it, and it should say "insert image" click on that and type in the URL of the pic.

If you didn't understand a word I just say, it's ok, I'm very bad at giving explanations.. >_> but if you did, that'd be great. :thumb: ^__^

oh, I just watched the first Tsubasa anime! It's awesome!!!! ^_^ I love the music that they used, fits the scenes very well. Though i couldn't help but feel a bit rushed through, like they didn't have enough time...and I kinda felt it lacked...more emotion? maybe it's just because i have the sound to low....but overall, it was great! ^__^

You should know-- the attachment function is broken right now. You'd have to host the images yourself using photobucket or imageshack. It's not really hard, but it would be easier to just wait until the site's fixed.

But if it doesn't get fixed soon, I'll PM you and tell you how to do it without the attachment function.
Every year in Uganda, innumerable children simply. . . disappear. These children all stolen under the cover of darkness from their homes and impressed into the guerilla armies of the LRA [Lord's Resistance Army]. In the deserts of Uganda, they are forced to witness the mindless slaughter of other children until they themselves can do nothing but kill. Kill. These children, generally ranging from ages 5-12, are brainwashed into murdering in the name of the resistance and into stealing other children from their beds to suffer the same fate.

Because of this genocide of innocence, hundred and hundreds of children live every night sleeping in public places miles from their homes, because they know that if the do not-- they will disappear. They will become just another number in this genocide to which the international community has chosen to turn a blind eye. They will become, in affect, invisible-- Invisible Children.

But there are those who are trying to fight against this slaughter of Uganda's children. They fight to protect these "invisible children." Please, help them help a country full of children who know nothing by fear. Help save the innocence. For more information concerning how you can help and how you can get an incredible video about this horrific reality, visit the Invisible Children home page.

OK Wow, lots of things going trough mind right now. First, I don't think I have imageshack or anything like it, if i do, i don't know it. I would like to know how to get it.

I did understand the attachment insturunctions, but since those are not working right now, I'm going to see if I can still get the pic up another way, but I dont think it will work. It's the pic I'm planning on using for my avatar, its of Sayoran (it won't upload right now for some reason).

Secondly, Thank you very much Dark_angel and Mangafanatic for your help, I can't thank you enough for putting up with someone as helpless as me. Which brings me up to thanking Termyt, he has done so much for me, he resized the pic, so it can be used as an avatar and he has helped me a lot here at CAA.

Lastly, I think i will get into MKR; i just wish i did not already no the ending (its ok, i should have put don't spoil the ending! lol my bad). ok, without any more talking, time to see if i can get the pic up.

Here we go! *tried* nope did not work, sad, its a good pic ( i found lots of good pics of sakura too), oh well i guess i'll figure out how to upload or wait until the link attachments are working again.

Sorry to take up so much room talking and not leave a pic.

Really, it's no problem. There are pages at a time in picture threads where people don't post pictures.

BTW, have I "offically" joined this thread? If I haven't, I guess I might as well now.

Here's a general question for all those watching the fansub version of "Tsubasa Chronicle":

Is anyone else disappointed with the "dimensional witch?" I don't think the creators of the show have even gotten close to capturing the morbidity and coldness that she embodies in the manga. They've just made her too kind, and no where near as self-centered as she should be, IMHO.

Also, it might have been a long time since I read the Tsubasa manga, but I distinctly remember the witch took Fai's staff and not his tattoo. --Did he even HAVE a tattoo in the manga?

Wow!!! :wow!: You've all been busy while I was away! I'll definitely have to be on here more often.

First off, a big WELCOME!!! to sparrowhawk and mangafanatic (who I will refer to as Osaka, same name as my comp btw) !

And thank you so much to all the dilligent members who have answered questions of our newer members. sparrowhawk, ask away! That's what we're here for. It's so awesome that you're getting into manga, especially CLAMP. CCS, Tsubasa, MKR, and Angelic Layer are my four favorite CLAMP manga, so you've read some good ones so far as far as I'm concerned. ;)

CLAMP no Kiseki is very fun, there are some beautiful Sakura pics in the short artbook and the figurines are sooo cute! ^___^

And thank you so much for the great Tsubasa anime pics, Osaka! ^___^ It almost makes me want to give up my moral code of not downloading anime off the net...but I'll be patient. It looks like an anime series that I will buy all the way through.

Okay, all the updated ranks are coming soon (next post)!

Welcome to Osaka who joined and is now a Clow Master! Congrats!

Oh, and Spirit_Wolf, you're right, we Sakura Card masters are the ones who make up the questions for members. Members make up challenge questions for us to answer to earn our cards, but I'm trying to come up with a different idea. Any suggestions anyone on how we Sakura Card Masters can earn our cards? ^___^

*blink blink* Whose?

Syaoran Li. I don't don't know what (if he even has one) his last name is in tsubasa, but in CCS it was Li. I usally call him that because it's what he was called in the dub (which is wat I saw first) and Sakura didn't start calling him syaoran until season 3.

And what is this about members making up challenge questions for the Sakura Card Masters?? *evil grin* I wonder if I could come up with some difficult ones.

Oh, right, Syaoran. Personally, I think his VA is fine.

In the past, two members a month would come up with 5 challenge questions related to the trivia topic for the month. The Sakura Card Masters had to answer these challenge questions in order to earn their card for the month. This tradition has kind of been discontinued as of late, so I was trying to think of another way for us to earn our cards, unless we have monthly volunteers to come up with questions for us. :)

I think the anime is totally cool! All the voices are excellent too!
Yea Yuuko was a bit disapointing, she looked like she was about to smile or something, they should have an outtake of her laughing or something, LOL ^^''

I checked volume 1 of the manga and Yuuko did indeed take Fai's tatto. I liked Yuuko, I didn't think there was anything really wrong with her portrayle. I was dissapointed that Watanuki didn't get more lines. From the two lines he did have I thought his voice actor sounded like Yuji Ueda, but I'd have to hear more of him to be sure.

YEA!!! I FINALLY GET TO DO SOME TALKING AND KNOW WHAT I'M SAYING!!!!

Osaka-chan, forgive me for correcting YOU above all people since you have helped me so much. You are both right and wrong about Fai. Fai did have his staff taken away, but not so he could travel with Makona. The staff comes later. She did take markings from him (i don't know if they were a "tattoo" and i will explain why). These markings were magic. They helped him control his magic so he didn't over do it. The staff was the price for the magic ball looking thing that broke the magic not allowing anyone to enter the evil ryanban's dwelling.

Now for a matter of opinion. While I have not seen the anime of Tsubasa, I have read the manga XXX holic, which is also by CLAMP and intertwines with Tsubasa (only loosely though). The time space witch, her name is yuko, though self centered, is not cold at all and only acts like it on official business. She is also actually kind, and is most self-centered around her indentured servant (who is the main character) and this mostly just to tease him. If you want to know more, you can read it or i can spoil it for you.

Sorry Osaka-chan, you were not the first person i wanted to disagree with here, but i was tired of being helpless. Your help has been awesome! By the way i pmed you again about pics. C ya'll later

OOOOHHH!!! That's right! I remember that now! The staff wasn't for travel payment. Thanks for reminding me. I was simply too lazy to walk ALL THE WAY UPSTAIRS to find out the right answer. Arigatou.

I've read xxxHolic and Tsuabasa as well (Well, I haven't read the last volumes of both.) I would still stand by the view that Yuuko is somewhat of a cold character. Even when she's not on official business, I think she always has a bit of a chill about-- but personally I find that icy nature somewhat endearing. She's really one of my favorite characters in the whole xxxHolic/Tsubasa story. Rock on Yuuko!

As I've said in the PMs, it's no big. We're all entitled to our own opinions, and thread like this are most enjoyable to me when people challenge my views and encourage me to think more deeply about the story, so-- thanks!

Is the xxxHolic movie being produced by Bee Train like the Tsubasa anime? Oh, my gosh I'm lazy. I'll go find out myself. It'll be good for me. Oh, I simply can't wait for the xxxHolic movie.

<----Personally likes xxxHolic better than Tsubasa.
