Underrated? Half of the series you listed aren't underrated.
Myoti wrote:But I'm glad to find some else knows about these. I didn't realize that MAR was that far along already, though.
They have only released around two volumes in English currently, I believe.
In Japan, it's up to the 10th or 11th volume or so. But, yeah, it's a pretty fun series. All the literary references and gags are amusing. A witch named Dorothy who can summon a monster called Toto... A farmer named Jack... A princess named Snow... Various villians who look like they were ripped out of different fairy tales...

Shaman King manga does leave me a little nervous with all the spiritualism symbols and animism but I personally think MAR is fun in its fantasy world (Dorothy rocks).
Myoti wrote:Also, that wierd beaver guy that shows his... yeah, I really like the anime better...

Just felt the need to put in - Ponchi (I think that's his name) is a Tanuki, which is essentially a shape-shifting raccoon (I've heard them called raccoon dogs, too. O_o; ). His...yeah...are due to the fact that the Tanuki are symbols of well being and fertility.
