The most objectionable thing about it is that it is very violent, lots of people getting killed or maimed with katanas, especially at the end.
There's a minor amount of what would have to be considered sexual content in one episode, but no more than implied sex and non-explicit nudity. One of the characters is also carrying on a romance with a geisha in Kyoto's Shimabara "pleasure district," and prostitution is fairly frankly discussed, but nothing objectionable is ever shown in these scenes.
Overall, Peacemaker is hugely gripping and dramatic, but like far too many series, ends up sort of falling on its face, with many supporting characters disappearing into the background and side plots never resolved. Perhaps the sequel to the original manga goes into more detail about these things, but the series makes a fairly inefficient use of the time available to it. It's only 24 episodes rather than the usual 26, and too much time is wasted on extraneous secondary characters and storylines, and most maddeningly of all, the last episode is basically nothing but celebratory filler.
