Hi there,

Sorry no one answered sooner!

From what I've heard, Love Hina Again contains substantially more fanservice/ecchi material than the original series. I also heard that the plot wasn't as good, either, bordering on nonexistent. Personally, the Love Hina Christmas special is one of my favorite anime episodes of all time, and is about the same as the TV series content-wise, if not a little better. ^_^ I haven't seen the Spring special, so I can't comment. Hope that helps, though!

Yeah Love Hina again is just a fanservice fest. If you can deal with it, it's really the end of the whole thing. But its really really pretty bad. I don't mind fanservice, I can ignore it usually, but this was beyond bad.
Maybe our mistakes are what make our fate. Without them, what would shape our lives? Perhaps if we never veered off course, we wouldn't fall in love, or have babies, or be who we are. After all, seasons change. So do cities. People come into your life and people go. But it's comforting to know the ones you love are always in your heart. And if you're very lucky, a plane ride away.

Love Hina ranks like 5 on the fanservice scale while LHA ranks like 7½. Unfortunately, this is the only way you can end the series... Actually, if you don't ever watch the two specials, you can use the last TV show ep as the end of the series, but watching the specials ruins that effect, forcing you to watch LHA.

I'd say end the series at the last TV ep, and forget the summer/winter specials so you don't have to bother with the LHA... You know the end result, it's just that LHA solves that big mystery from the beginning, and introduces a couple new characters... You can really just guess the most important part...

Spring Special, imo, was just ok. But it did conclude the series in a way. The Christmas special wasn't bad either, but the dvd's best addition is Episode 25, which never made it to the Tv series, and that episode is hilarious.
IMO, the fanservice is no worse than the tv series.

Haven't seen Love Hina Again yet.

Love Hina Again is the series in question that is worse than Love Hina, fanservice-wise.
