Super Dimensional Fortress Macross

CDLviking wrote up another great review. I love the line with the "... war, love triangles, and pop music" line.

For quick reference, anyone familiar with the Robotech series probably knows by now that the three series were not connected in their original form - Harmony Gold brought the three together. This review covers the original anime (Super Dimensional Fortress Macross) that most people have seen as Robotech: The Macross Saga.

:: robotech geek must add::

The idea of tying Robotech together from three different anime came from Producer Carl Macek, who was assigned the task from Harmony Gold. Macek went on the task and behold we had Robotech.

Minmay really annoyed me throughout the series. I liked Misa/Lisa much better.

I have the Macross Saga on DVD and by the end of the series I was getting so darn sick of that "Stage Fright" "song."

I think the songs are better in Japanese, but the Japanese version of that song, "My Boyfriend is a Pilot," is just as overplayed throughout the show.

There really isn't a whole lot. Robotech stayed remarkably true to the plot. Only a few minor differences. But I like the sub so much better than the dub.
