If you have yet to see Phase 40 of Gundam Seed there is a very important revelation at the end concerning the relationship between two of the main
characters and who or what the phase Seed refers to.
So if you don't mind Spoilers:

At the end of Phase 40 Cagali's father gives her a photo.The photo shows a woman with twins.On the back the names of the twins are revealed to
be Kira and Cagali.
As Cagali leaves,reluctantly,her father mentions something about the
Seeds being safe.From that reference it seems to be clear that Kira and
Cagali are the Seeds.

I pretty much knew that one. I saw the same photo in the early episodes. It wasn't hard to figure out with one yellow haired and one brown haired baby.
